I was scrolling through Disney+ today and found these pics shot by Disney for the 70th. I started out watching the toontown one, which was completely inoffensive, nothing wrong with it (maybe other than the lack of car toon spin). Then I watched the mansion one and, oh my god. They dub over the audio in the video, use the wrong audio, sometimes don’t even play audio for certain things (there is no rapping on a table). I then watched the Hollywood land one since why would they make one for Hollywood land of all places. It is just one giant Coca Cola ad. They focus on a sign with “coca cola” on it for about ten seconds and a stand with water, normal and Diet Coke, and sprite for longer than the focused on the sign. From what I have heard the Soarin’ one also does this. Granted they did say there was product placement, but still. Nothing could have prepared me for the absolute worst one without a doubt. The pirates of the Caribbean pov is awful. Not only do they cut out parts of the cave scene, they also cut out the queue music, used the wrong bayou sounds, the animatronics don’t match audio, they removed the first drop and the preceding tunnel, just didn’t use the parrot at the end or the lift hill. The audio mixing on this one specifically is terrible. And this isn’t even scratching the surface of how abysmal these videos are. Two Tiana’s don’t work in the bayou adventure one, the nighttime spectacular one is a one minute montage (don’t get me started on that), the camera they used has awful lighting (not sure if it’s the cameras or indoor/outdoor lighting but either way it’s hard to see anything), and they just didn’t do anything for fantasyland or tomorrowland, but sure do one for Hollywood land and the pal around. I find these videos on Disney+ are worse than anything disney could have done for the 70th. They have done a huge disservice to some of the best rides and attractions in the world. I really hope Disney doesn’t keep doing these povs cause I can find better on YouTube for free. Sorry if this sounds a little ranty, I just had to get this off my chest since I’ve seen nobody talking about them anywhere online.
