Well, a little teaser for your enjoyment.

I arrived at the front gate to Disneyland at 9:10, just a little past opening. The Parks started out fairly quiet. By the time I left at 11:30 the crowds had thickened up a bit but still not bad at all. It is a beautiful, mildly warm day at the Park.

My main task for the day was to reshoot some video in HM to complete my video creation. I guess I got there around 9:15 and the my first ride was me and 1 other person. Talk about having the place to ourselves.

After I exited HM I noticed the stand-by for Splash was 10 minutes - so I decided to go for a ride. I got in the front row of the log. And I got soaked, twice. One time a wave came over the side and drenched by behind. Then the big hill tossed a huge splash into my face. Mind you, I am not complaining - it felt great. (mmmm - Disney water right Kirsten.)

After I noticed Pooh had NO ONE in line. So, I decided to jump on just for the fun of it. I had a car and basically the entire ride to myself.

I had a FP for Indiana Jones to do next. The line moved well. I walked all the way into the domed room. They held us next in the film room so we could see the seatbelt film. The ride was fun but apparently they were backed up a bit. We were held just before Indy comes through the roof, in the blow dart room. The car had great sounds of being stalled and trying to restart.

We got past the ball and before you round the corner to see Indy and the crashed ball, we were held again. Both times were for a couple minutes each. now why can't I get held up somewhere fun like on the bridge.

Well, time was approaching for me to leave. I decided to pull out my digital camera and get some shots. Lots of characters out today. Terk and Jane were by Tarzan's Tree. Hook was out by the front gate. Chip and Dale were over by the fire dept. Cinderella started out by the front gate but was later moved back to her spot by the castle, along with Belle and Snow. In Frontierland was Woody, Jesse, and Sheriff Pluto. By the front gate there was Aladdin with no Jasmine. (Here is your chance Kirsten.)

The Market House and Plaza Pavillion both had the rennovation drapes removed. Market House looks great. Not much change to the Plaza. The Ice Cream Shop is now under cover.

That was my trip. Pictures are being downloaded to my computer now. They will be in alt.binaries.multimedia.disney soon.

Enjoy your day - I am planning on heading back this evening to catch both Fantasmics on tape.

Mmmmmm... Splash Mountain water... Yummy! :p

Wow, I haven't seen characters out at the Treehouse for a long time... I wish Tarzan would show up there again. ;) And WOO! No Jas! Now, if he was one of the really HOT Aladdins, that's even better... ;)

Enjoy Fantasmic tonight! Send it good Mark Twain karma!
