Yesterday was Victoria Day in Canada and I went to a local yard sale and bought a couple Disney things and was wondering if anyone has found some cool Disney things at yard sales.

I rarely go but I was happy with my purchases so who knows...maybe I will go again.

Here are the two items I bought for a total of $2.75

Disney World Coaster set - total cost $2.00

Mickey Mouse Pencil Sharpener - total cost $0.75

I'd love to see anyone else's finds.

Love the coasters! But that Mickey is creepy......looks like he may be holding a knife behind his back:eek:. No garage saling for me - I'm happy when I get a room discount :D

Yeah I kind of bought the Mickey because he was horrifying. His eyes look like he's been brainwashed or hypnotized or something. Maybe it's from the little known Mickey Cult Collection.

We need to hit up some yard sales! My wife once bought a 2 inch Ringo Starr figurine for like a buck and sold it for $60. She also bought an oil painting (I think it was oil) for like 3 bucks and sold it for 250. I'd love to find some Disney treasure, but would hold onto it.

I once bought a Mickey waffle maker and threw it out the first time I used it because my daughter burned her arm severly, it was completely stainless steel on the outside but those waffles were pretty good before all the excitement. Was so overjoyed to find it and then that happened, she's 19 and still has the scar. I've gotten some crazy good garage sale finds, a pair of Oakley bright green frogger sunglasses for 75 cents, my husband hated them so I listed them for on eBay and they sold for over $150, purchased some sports wall paper border for $2 for my son's room, went with trucks and cars instead so I listed that as well and it sold for over $50. Should this be posted on the "how do you make money for a Disney trip" thread instead?

Scored a BRAND NEW Disney Princess scooter for $6 at the Thrift Shop on base a few weeks ago. My daughter freaked...so did my wife. We had just looked at them at Target for $20! We also like to pickup the old (1970's & 1980's) Disney hardback books for the kids when we can find them. I'm still waiting to find a "priceless Disney artifact" score...

I drove past our local Goodwill and noticed a huge picture of Mickey in the window so I just had to stop in and look. It was a 3' by 2' framed picture from The Art of Disney store of Mickey doing the Walt portrait (ala Norman Rockwell). It has the original price sticker of $45 but I got it for $10. There also was a framed 1994 limited edition Snow White lithograph from The Disney Store that I bought for $2. I found some red Mickey shaped Tupperware plates for .50 each too. I collect Snow White books (45 different ones so far) so ducking into flea markets/thrift shops/yard-rummage sales every once in awhile usually turns up something Disney. I wish I could buy it all but I don't want to be featured on Hoarders. :D

I do have an old Mickey Mouse plush that I still cherish today.
