After a year of scrimping and saving, I'm going to take my family to Disney World. I was thinking about surprising them all with the news but I'm drawing a blank as to how to do it. I was wondering if anyone on the board has done this and can offer suggestions.

You can set up something like an Easter basket but instead of a bunny a mouse came with a surprise

Make a homemade video on disc and play it when all the family are sitting round the tv.Use your imagination like put on a set of Mickey ears and narrate a story with a happy ever after ending.;)

I surprised my dad with a trip to Disney for his birthday one year. I got two huge boxes, in one i put the plane tickets, and in the other i put the WDW and Universal tickets. He was so excited, we left a week after his birthday and because I was only 13 at the time I needed my aunts help with making the reservations so I was shocked that she didn't spill the beans.

I left a letter from Santa telling my son that we were going to WDW on the tree. Another time he was out with me one Saturday morning and I said "I want to go to Disney World," he said "me too," I said "okay let's do it" and we drove to the AAA office to book the trip. The whole time he was asking "won't mom be mad? Shouldn't you ask her?" of course we had it planned between my dear wife and myself. When we got home my son burst into the house and said to his mother "We booked a trip to Disney so there!"
