There’s nothing new or original here. All the tips are the general ones you find on all the “tips to save money at Disney”.

Bringing in single packets of powdered lemonade, fruit punch , etc then ask the CM for a cup of ice water during the day saves money from buying those cold drinks.

I believe it is so nice and wonderful how the great people of Disney supply water to people. They don't have to do that. Off to nature. Have a fun day! The sunrise was so beautiful today btw!

Like most 'how to save money at disney' articles, it's written by someone who knows very little about visiting WDW. So much wrong/misleading info.

Edit: Oh dear god. They suggest a Park Hopper is a bad idea, because of the time it takes to go between parks...like the hour time it takes to "walk from Magic Kingdom to Animal Kingdom".

Uh oh... that ones going to start a bee swarm of negative comments. I have a charter member card and use mine on all Dis trips but theres a huge # of anti-Dis Chase cards people on here.
LOL, I didn't know there were. I must have escaped their notice...

I'm not anti-Disney VISA, but I would say that there's no "one size fits all" way to save for Disney when using credit cards. Different cards help in different ways, and although the simplicity of relying on one card is valuable, putting all of one's eggs in one basket isn't always the way to go.

E.g., on our last Disney vacation, we saved over $1,200 -- the full value of our airfare to/from Orlando -- using JetBlue MasterCard rewards points. We saved $600+ in hotel discounts (25% off at Yacht Club, VISA cardholder offer), $200 on our dining/souvenirs (using accumulated rewards dollars), and $20 off our Behind the Seeds tour (15% off), by using our Disney VISA. Finally, we saved an additional $180 on our dining/souvenirs by buying discounted Disney gift cards from BJs with a Discover card, during quarters when Discover offered an additional 5% cash back on wholesale club purchases.

So by leveraging all three credit cards (all of which we pay off in full every month, so the only associated cost is the $100 annual fee for the JetBlue card), we saved over $2,200 -- about a third of what otherwise would have been the total cost -- on a week-long vacation to WDW. I'm sure there are others on these boards who work harder at it, and do even better.

Someone at Starbucks recently was looking intently at my Milennium Falcon card recently when I was paying. I told her I wanted the 100th anniversary card, but would have to give up my Star Wars card.

You could have both! Unless something has changed, when I've requested new designs, all the info stayed the same (card number, expiration, and the CVV on the back) so I could use the cards interchangeably. Heck, when I got the tap version of the card, my old card still worked (since it hadn't expired). If using online I just need to make sure I use the same CVV code and Expiration combo.

Yes. Any time there’s a post asking if the Dis Visa is worth doing there are a multitude of posts from those who can’t see the value in the Chase card.
I agree that other cards have some better benefits and one can benefit by using a variety of programs. But they can’t see the value some of us do who use it for our Dis vacations.
My rewards that I’ve accrued will pay for all my and my DS’s dining on our upcoming DL trip.

Awesome. Thank you very much!
