Hi everyone,
My family is thinking about going to Disney in June 2019 as my kids really want to go to one of the water parks This is why we were thinking June so we could enjoy the water parks and pool. Any thoughts would be great.
Thank you for your help and have a great rest of the night.

June is an OK month to go, but it can be HOT...if you can go earlier in the year, I would try for that...late April/early May or late Sept-early Nov...it's still warm enough for the water parks.

My family and I went June 25th - July 2nd, 2017 and it poured every day for hours and it was very hot. Is was the first time I never saw the curb at the Magic Kingdom with all the puddles.

September IMO is far worse weather wise than June. October isn't far off from June either, but a higher chance of a hurricane.

June isn't really that bad. We just got back after going for the third year in a row. Mid to upper 80s for highs (maybe low 90s) a spot of rain now and then but nothing awful. We left home with temps in the upper 80s and 90s before we went though so it felt like home ;)

May is a little better, but not always.

I think a lot also depends on what you consider hot and how you want to feel in between slides and such. We don't normally consider pool time unless it's 90 or above and normally like to feel the heat in the air in between so that the water time is more refreshing. While each year can vary and forecasts aren't always accurate, current forecasts for the area are putting highs in the upper 80s to low 90s each day...which isn't too bad IMO.

One other thing to consider is that the warmer it is, the more crowded it is. Meaning, you need to get there right at opening to get a spot in the lot (we've been diverted to overflow parking in DS if TL's lot is full) and be ready to wait. We do at least like the tickets with the water parks added in when doing this.

I took my daughters on the water slide and lazy river on marathon weekend 2017. It was cold, but there were thunderstorms in the forecast the next day - half got cancelled due to them. I had showed them the slide before the trip to hype it up, and I was going to be in trouble if we didn’t do it. It also dropped below the temp where they run the slide - somewhere between 50 - 60. You’ll get some spotty cold days from March-November, but pools are good as long as you dry off reasonably quickly. As others have said, lots of rain in the summer.

I've been down there in June for all my trips (10) except for one and have never found the weather to be an issue. I'm from the mid-atlantic so I am anything but acclimated to the Florida heat, but still have not found it to be terrible. Yes, it is probably going to rain once a day sometime between 3 and 6 pm, but use that time to do some shopping if you're in the parks or relax at your resort.

You really can't tell for sure. We went in June in both 2009 and 2013. The theory based on historical averages - the heat and humidity of July and August hasn't kicked in yet. It was in the 100's many days during both trips. It also rained some every day. Fast forward to May of this year. One of the lowest months of the year for average rainfall - not for us. We got caught up in that tropical system that brought some rain every single day.

Bottom line - we had a great time on every trip we have taken. Go when it best suits your family and other needs and don't worry about the weather. Chances are the averages may or may not come through while you're there.

Thanks again for all your responses. I think we have decided for June, as it will be the best time for us. How are the crowds In June? We are looking forward to the trip and are planning alot of things to do on and off property.
