Disney World in Hawaii and Egypt?

A guy I work with told me he heard on the radio the chance to win a trip to Disney World in Hawaii or Egypt once they have been built. I had never heard of that and believe me would not and could not make something up like this. Is there any merit to this? How in the world would Disney work in Hawaii?

There is a Disney Resort Hotel that just opened in Hawaii, that's probably what they're referring to...but nothing in Egypt

The DVC property in Hawaii hasn't opened yet. It is still under construction. However, I believe they are reserving rooms.

It was probably for an "Adventures by Disney" trip... They do group tours to many places around the world where they don't have theme parks...

Yeah it must be almost certain that this is what he heard. After I heard it I racked my brains wondering how:

a) I didn't hear about this before

and

b) how in the world a Disney park could ever be supported on an island in the middle of nowhere

Adventures by Disney have a 7 and also a 9 night experience where you take a camel ride past the pyramids and sphinx, also go to Cairo and a Nile river cruise. Sounds like fun. As for the Disney Aulani resort in Hawaii, it is supposed to open in the fall of 2011 at least the first phase that is. Looks like it is going to be a beautiful resort, to bad it is a 12hr. plane trip from me
