Disney World Hotel Rooms

We just got back from Disneyworld yesterday, and we were told that all rooms were sold out on property. My husband asked me how many hotel rooms are on Disney world property would that be ? I searched the forums with no luck. I am sure on of the travel consultants know? Between the Deluxe, Moderates and Value, and Swan what is the total? Which has more rooms available? The moderates? Value?

It not all that uncommon for all the Disney Resorts to be sold out on several select dates throughout the year, especially during peak holiday periods such as spring break and the winter holidays.

Note that sold out does not always mean occupied. Wholesalers, conventions groups, etc. purchase blocks of rooms that often are not completely resold out to their clients. Disney received payment for these rooms, so we cannot offer them to our Guests. That is why you can sometimes find rooms on Travelocity, Expedia, etc, but not when you contact Disney directly.

Yes, with the exception of Shades of Green. On request, we can book these Resorts (and about 60+ Good Neighbor Hotels located off from our property) as a courtesy for our Guests when we are fully occupied or it is not within our Guest's budget to stay at an availiable Disney Resort.

Note the "Official Hotels" on property can be booked as a room-only reservations OR as a vacation package with Magic Your Way Park Tickets of your choice for everyone in the party. The off property "Good Neighbor Hotels" are sold only as a Vacation Package and must include a Magic Your Way Park Ticket equal to the number of nights you are staying for everyone in the party.

Also note as these are not Disney owned, no discount offers (Disney offers or otherwise) applies to them. We can only book their rooms at their full rack rates.

Boloney. I am scheduled to arrive in 29 days and I made a change just yesterday. We moved up our arrival date by one day and our departure day one day. Online it had been saying for days that all value resort rooms were booked. I called yesterday and the cast member not only changed it but I saved a few dollars and I still kept my Florida Resident rate.

Apologies to resurrect an old thread.

In regard to the Swan and Dolphin hotel - are these not owned by Disney? All the material online in the way it's worded would suggest they are.
