Hello everyone! I was just wondering if anyone knew where I could buy a Disney World costume as in a character from one of the parks not just a general Disney character. Thank you!!!

You'd be better off dressing in the spirit of a character. Although, I have seen some people create great costumes of face characters. i.e, Peter Pan, Wendy, Merida, etc.

eBay? Occasionally bits of character costumes (Think I saw Pluto's collar recently) end up for sale. But those get cracked down pretty fast. CM costumes are pretty easy to find with the more in demand ones (Haunted Mansion) fetching a pretty penny, but with generic shirts from CS locations and the like going for $5-10 bucks often.

Keep in mind however that under recent rules anything that may be perceived as a costume on an adult may be cause to be removed from the park (if you get in in the first place)

The Disney store sometimes has tshirts that look like the Haunted Mansion cast members. I think I saw that they've come back this year in a recent email.

Me as Peter Pan, at Mickey's No-So-Scary Halloween Party in 2008

With Alice on the Trick-or-Treat trail behind the Speedway. I also saw the Queen of Hearts & the Mad Hatter here, but they passed by too fast to get a picture!

Nice legs, Peter! :p (sitting on the front row on Main Street waiting for Boo to You Parade to start, after having chugged down 2 bottled waters!) :hilarious:

Hope this helps! :)

If this is for The Not So Scary Halloween Party it is fine...Going into the park dressed up on a regular day...Well, have you heard of the Tinkerbell Incident a few years ago?

And the time a ton of adults got arrested while dressed as Disney characters at Disneyland sometime in 2005/2006.

Please define the purpose of this...

Are you going to the parks dressed up? If so, you cannot as an adult unless it the MNSSHP. The Halloween Parties are the ONLY time an adult can costume up.

I was actually asking for costumes as in if I wanted to dress up as a character from the parks as in a character like Figment or from one of the other rides. This would not be in the park (I know you can't dress up in the parks) but for Halloween or for a convention.

Nothing much for adults. There may be some "inspired by" type outfits around Halloween, or maybe some one piece fuzzy PJ type costumes (I think I've seen Pooh & friends), but nothing much beyond that.

They sell a Figment jacket on the Disney parks app, if that answers your question.

I've seen that story many times. There was also this story where they mistook a lady for Giselle from Enchanted when it was actually an old gown she got at the thrift shop.

Because Disney doesn't want children and other guests to confuse them with official costumed CMs.

That said, they can dress up during certain special ticketed events (Celebration V and the Halloween Parties spring to mind).

Well that does make sense.
