To Disney's credit, I think that they remove the birds seasonally due to the temperatures. I could be wrong (and Maria would be able to answer this) but I think they did the same thing for a month or so last year.

Well, I think that Ducks are perhaps more used to less tropical climates and I don't think that they are totally part of the display because you see them swimming out in the World Showcase lagoon while Illuminations is going on and they also come out into the walkways on occasion. I don't think they are really contained by Disney. :)

Here's a funny idea, sneak up on them, pick a bunch up, and spread some to all of the World Showcase attractions - they can swim en El Rio and even Maelstrom (the final scene!)...that will be funny!
