Disney Wonder lets guests 'Wish Upon a Summer'
6/17/03

PORT CANAVERAL, FL (Disney Cruise Line) -- Disney Cruise Line is launching a Wish Upon a Summer fireworks show during the Disney Wonder deck party as the ship leaves Nassau through July and August.
The show is featured on four-night sailings.

"There are 'ooos' and 'ahhhhs' from the time the first shell explodes to the grand finale, which features nearly 50 shells exploding in less than nine seconds," said Russell Dishman, production manager of Disney Cruise Line Entertainment.

The 171-shell fireworks show will be precisely choreographed to match the tempo and rhythm of an under-the-sea medley of tunes.

This show already has proven to be popular with guests. Disney Wonder Crew Members tested the show in May, and the number of guests coming to the deck party increased, as well as the number of guests staying and dancing after the show was over.

The fireworks will be shot from a barge out at sea, taking advantage of darkness of the open sea at night.

"Fireworks have a way of really making celebrations special and memorable," Russell said. "What better way to celebrate a truly magical vacation than with a fireworks display?"

Are you serious? :lookaroun

First off, I love fireworks and have had the pleasure of being part of the lighting crew of a professional show and to tell you the truth, there's really nothing left of the shells after they explode.

yes there are ashes and small bits of paper, but, if that poses a large problem for you then you must be oblivious to all of the real problems in this world to worry about.
