Disney VISA - bill payment question?

I wanted to set up the card to pay all my bills, but you can't do that through their online service.

I normally pay all my bills online through my credit union right from my account.

Granted, if I paid all my bills with the Visa card, I'd have to make 1 extra step and then send the payment from my bank account to pay off the balance of the card every month. but I have no problem with that.

So how do you all do it? Am I missing something obvious? I didn't want the hassle of going online to every single place I pay a bill to and making a payment with the credit card. Also, I do not do AUTOMATIC billing as most things the $$$ varies month to month, except mortgage.

You need to check with each of your creditors to determine if they will agree to accept payment via your credit card. In my experience, most will. However, a few do not. I pay most of recurring payments (mortgage, electric, water, gas, auto insurance, phone, cell phone, T1 line, garbage collection, etc.) via my credit card. I give each creditor permission to bill my credit card as needed. It's all automatic.

I have a Disney Visa card, but I've never used it. The perks on my MasterCard are much better. One problem you might have is that the Disney Visa is issued by Bank One. Bank One has a rather low rating in the banking world. Their rating is "BB" which officially stands for "Lower-medium quality reputation". In reality, they are bottom of the barrel. No one really likes doing business with them, except Disney! So, you may not be able to get your creditors to agree to accept a Bank One card.

I just got my card for the pretty Disney stuff and in the hope that they would offer some good Disney discounts. So far, the Disney card has offered no real discounts and the "Disney Rewards" don't impress me either. Bank One is living up to their reputation!

Woody,

Thanks. I never bothered with other credit cards myself for frequent flyer miles, etc., too much of a nuisance. I figured I'd give this a try as it forces me to use rewards points at Disney, where I spend my money anyways.

Here's hoping it doesn't become too much of a hassle :D
