My family and I are going to Disney with my sister and her family. Our group consists of myself, DH, DD13 and DD7. My sister's family is her and her DH and DD4 and DS6. None of my sister's family has been to Disney before and my family has been there severl times. We have made the decision to dine together while we are there. My neice and nephew are picky eaters. They are the only 2 that I am worried about as my kids have eaten at Disney before and never had problems finding something they liked.

So here are my dining plans (we already have ADRs booked)

10/18 - Dinner at Cape May Cafe (new to all of us)
10/19 - Dinner at 'Ohana (new to all of us)
10/20 - Dinner at 50's Prime Time (we have eaten there before)
10/21 - Dinner at Akershus (we have eaten there before)
10/22 - Breakfast at Crystal Palace (we have eaten there before)
10/23 - Dinner at Tutto Italia (new to all of us)
10/24 - Dinner at Boma (new to all of us)

I feel pretty confident that my neice and nephew will find something they like at the places we have eaten at before, but am a little worried about the new ones. Tutto is the one that worries me the most, because the other 3 new ones are buffets/family style and I am sure there is something on a buffet/family style they will eat. Are the picky eaters going to be happy???

Thanks so much!

I agree, you have many great options and I love those ADRs. The possible issue could be Akershus. If they balk at any dinning get them a hot dog or some other quick service.

Akershus does has some weird offerings in the serve-yourself department, but the entrees aren't too exotic. They have "Kjottkake" (meatballs) and pasta. Good job on all those picks!

When my (very picky) son was little, we went to Tutto. The wait staff was very accommodating. He had plain spaghetti noodles with butter and we got the sauce and meatballs served on the side (separately). He didn't like his foods to touch:confused:. If I didn't know better I would swear he was not my child. As a child there was nothing I wouldn't eat (and I was a little on the pudgy side as a result).
At Boma (we have been there 3 times), there was nothing he liked on the menu, and each time the waiter got him a huge plate of nuggets from one of the other restaurants on property. The first 2 times we didn't even say anything - they just noticed that he wasn't eating much and offered to bring him something different. The third time he was 12, we just politely asked if it was possible (I would have happily paid extra, or had my son eat just the plain rice if necessary) and they said it was no problem and they do it all the time.
Sorry, I didn't mean to write a novel. Hope this helps.

I've been to BOMA twice. It's a buffet, all-you-can-eat style. There are some very "tame" things on the buffet that even the most pickiest eaters will like. So I wouldn't worry.

That's good to know about Boma, we've thought about it and have never done it for fear the kids wouldn't eat anything!

Boma has a pod set up primarily for kids. Usually has things like nuggets, mac & cheese, plain pasta, etc. That said, don't be afraid to try everything in the line as nothing is really that off the map.

I agree with this. Our family of 4 uniformly hated the dinner foods here - we have 2 picky and 2 not-at-all picky eaters on our family (1 adult and 1 child each). That said, the princess experience was unmatched so I don't regret eating there that one time. If I had it to do again, though, I'd have chosen breakfast here because the foods are more generic. (Oh, and btw, we have enjoyed the food at every other WDW restaurant we have eaten at over the years.)

There is a great app out there called WDW Dining. It is REALLY great because it has the menu for every restaurant, quick service, and snack stand at WDW.

Look at the menus before hand on Disney's website, but at most sit down restaurants they have chicken fingers on the kids menu (I know because as a child/teenager I would order them off the kid's menu), or other common foods a picky eater might eat.

Okay, Tutto Italia is bound to let them find something so I don't think you should be worried about that, I didn't really enjoy Ohana, when we went because of all the sauces on it but there is a lot of food to choose from. I hae yet been to Boma but I am sure it will be good.

My picky Easters did not like Cape May Cafe. I found out too late for us that we could have requested chicken nuggets (which are not on the buffet) for the kids. None of us actually enjoyed Cape May though. O'hana allows you to order off a kids' menu, you just need to ask your server. Tutto was great, for both the adults and kids. You get bread before the meal so they an fill up on that and my picky eaters just got spaghetti and sauce on the side. Not much in the way of entertainment for them, but we all enjoyed it. I think you have some solid choices which should please everyone.
