This is going to be the main thread where I will post concepts and ideas for my dream resort! This first post will be explaining the broader concept of the world and why this can be total blue sky and the limits of the resort.

So the world in which this resort is in has a bunch of mechanics that aren't really important to creating the resort. Basically there's a magic system and a larger population. It's more of a Utopia and people live much longer. Technology is way more advanced.
The magic systems for purposes of park stuff, work with environmental and technology. For tech, it enhances the tech. ( Basically if something seems not possible- it probably is.) The tech has to be built specially to allow the magic to work with it and Disney was the first to figure that out.
This is a huge resort- with parks ranging from " Earth parks" ( recreations of our Disney parks .)/concept parks, Original parks, and IP focused parks.
This will be an adventure and I hope you join me

So let's get this started with a list of parks and other important landmarks!
Disney Universe is the vacation capitol of the planet. Walt wanted room to create a bubble and he did.
1. The newest park is their new and improved Magic Kingdom- which I have yet to come up with a good name for. at 5000 acres allows the team to stretch their creative muscles and leaves room for expansion.
These are the Earth Parks- Mainly used for Disney fans that don't want to take a shuttle to earth and as a testament to what earth can create.
Real Life resorts are separated by a non park point of interest- 8, 9, 10 are original concept parks but are located in HS resort area to create a themed are
2 Disney Springs- Mostly like what it is in the present day- ( Pleasure Island will be in another resort area)
3. Magic Kingdom- This is a near clone of the Florida park with a few changes so we don't have too many exact copies of attractions. Was used as the Magic Kingdom ( main park) while the new park was being built.
4. EPCOT FL Florida's epcot with some changes
5.Hollywood Studios- Like it used to be before the studios left. ( This is part of a complex of four parks based around art forms)
6. Animal Kingdom- Beastly Kingdom is in full force here- with Avatar being a land of it's on
7 Walt Disney Universe international airport- this is a large airport for large planes about twenty mintues away from the closest Park
8. Music of Disney- This is a music themed park
9. Art of Disney- This park celebrates Art in all it's forms and has imaginative rides
10. The World of Theater. This park takes you into the world of musicals
11.Disney's Broadway- a theater district with food and shopping that is the free entertainment area of this resort area
12. Disneyland- How it was before GE got put in- There is a Disneyland across the planet
13. Disney's Cali Adventure- ( How it would be if it didn't have the budget issues)
14. westCOT - Has different countries then EPCOT
15. Disney's Boardwalk- is more of an area with a carnival aesthetic and some simple rides
16. Tokyo Disneyland
17 Tokyo Disneysea
18. Downtown Disney- another simple shopping and dining area
19.Disneyland Paris-
20 Disney Studios- This is basically the concept plan for this park
21. Small Plane airport- Do you want to fly to the magic- This will put you at a tiny airport on the edge of property
22. Hong Kong Disneyland
23. Shanghai Disneyland

I'm going to separate the ip and original parks into another couple posts

IPs make the world go round and, could you believe that the citizens of this world have even more of an attachment to characters and universes then we do. This has caused an abundance of ip parks- including some that might not be realistic ( For rights reasons.)
1. Marvel ( I do not have a good name for this.) Every superhero will have a home here and there will be attached hotels a la star wars
2. Star Wars! Basically this will have lands themed to different planets in canon and a few that the imageeners create
3. The Wizarding World- This Disney got the rights to Potter ( and later Beasts) This is a full fledged park- people can spend whole days here being wizards
4 Nintendo-
5. Pixar
6. Muppets
7. Indy? I'm unsure if theres enough there for a full park, he may get placed in adventureland as a subland
8. LOTR
9. Doctor Who- I plan on having a nod to the theory that Mary Poppins is a time lord.
10. Wizard of Oz/ Wicked
11 Open for suggestions for other ips
The exceptional eight park- This is a park themed to Mickey and his friends
This is the start of a grouping of parks -
Disney Royalty- Basically if you can make an argument for them fitting the rules that Disney has to brand them Princess ( Boys included), they would be found here, in lands and sublands themed to the nines ( this will be about 5000 acres)
Disney Villains - same concept as Royalty These are both Castle parks
Pets, sidekicks, Fairies Either three separate parks or one larger one this rounds out the animated canon

Next will be originals and then we'll finish up with concept parks and any extras

If the Marvel area is it’s own continuity with original theme attractions, and not based off the MCU like Marvel superhero island you could call it the Marvel Universe.

I would still call it the Marvel Universe. Well there could be some theme to Asgard, and Wakanda like “portals/gateways“ to the hotels.

Okay. Original/ concept parks
1. World Tour- This is world showcase from Epcot, but doubled- One side of the park is about the countries of this world and the other side is Earth continents
2. Hollywoodland- this stays true to the original intentions of studios and houses most of the Disney of this world studios
These next three have a similar vibe ( So they could be combined-
3. Holiday park- This is focused on the holidays- of all major religions
4. Seasons park- A four area park themed to the four seasons
5. Festival park- A state fair disney style, an homage to the festivals at epcot
6. Inventions and Imagination The new future world- themed to the progress we've made and what we're looking to do next, in both Earth and this Planet. ( My tomorowland is more people's vision of what the future would be)
7. Adventure/discovery-
8. Literature- Themed to books and authors
9. The imagineering park- this is an inner look into the workings of the creative minds behind the park
10. Dreams and imagination- this is where Dreamfinder and Figment have taken up residence here, making this a crazy park.
11. Animal Kingdom ( This has a different name but the premise is the same, just with this worlds animals,
12. Mythica- This park tells legends and myths ( including original myths from the imaigneers)
12 Thrill park- Because there's so much to do here, There's a thrill park- themed to the nines and having family rides scattered about
13- I have more ideas but I want to see how theses shake out.

Concept parks/ other points of interest.
Port Disney/ Disneysea- Almost a carbon copy of the plans- molded to fit the area- is about 20 minutes away from the main complex- here is a full fledged park and the headquarters of DCL -
Disney's America-
Pleasure Island- A large entertainment area/ it is always hopping, popular with locals and tourists. is part of a larger story in the resort. ( There's a hotel also sprung from the remments and a whole park)
Wedding Pavilion and Bridal Studio- There are two of these- One like the one we know and love- looking on to the castle in MK. Theres another one over by the newest park to increase capacity.
More to be adding
The Various hotels
There are 8 tiers
1. In park Hotels
2. Experience hotels- a la the star wars hotel
3. DVC- A few separate resorts but most accommodations are in separate buildings with separate check in and a few restaurants.
4.Deluxe
5. Moderate
6. Value
7. Commando-
8.

What map makers do you guys use? I want to get a good vision of both the resort and each area.

So now the basics of the transportation systems!
1. Magical Express/ Cruise line transport- These are intended to either get people to their resorts ( and back to the airport) or to Port Disney from the airport
2. Monorail- it links all of the Earth parks together and is used to connect certain other parks together and to hotels
3. Skyliner- Connection to parks in which it makes more sense then the monorail thematically- also connects most of the hotels together .
4. Buses. Buses are used mainly as back up and direct connections to parks-
5. Train- Trains are mainly used in the parks but there are some connecting certain areas- including the airport to various stops around the resort.
6. Boats- transport along the waterways
7. Connecting every location is the peoplemover! It moves quickly slowing down at each station to allow boarding and disembarking -

So let's talk the basics ( Layout, Lands and other details.) of Kingdom of Dreams* ( This is a tentative title), The newest and biggest park of Disney Universe Resort- it is their crown jewel and a multi day experience park. It opens in 2016 to great fanfare. The Magic Kingdom park it replaced is heading up Yesterland- a place where things removed from all the parks are able to be experienced along with new rides to balance the park out. Anyway back to the Kingdom of Dreams. It has 5000 acres and about 15 or so lands each of which has at least two sublands. I'm aiming for a decent amount of attractions per subland. Each land has an assocated hotel outside the park, and there are three or four main entrences to the park. I really like the hub and spoke design and it would be silly to have a Castle park not have that. Like Shanghi- the hub area is almost a land unto itself.

Another thing about this world. This world's Walt and Roy are alive and well as the average lifespan is about 200 years give or take. Walt is mentoring his great granddaughter Ellie and Roy is mentoring his great grandson, Walter,

So heres my plan on how I'm going to write this whole resort out!
1. For now- set aside the Earth parks and Yesterland, Yesterland is more of an original park but I want to figure out the others first, before jumping into it. ( It's the park that I have the best idea of layout)
For each original park and ip park
2. A basic summary- at minimum layout and size.
3. List out the lands and the icon
4. Go land by land, describing attractions, entertainment, food stops, characters ( will start with attractions and then add in the others) ( Mickey will be able to be met in all parks), parades and the transport.
5List any hotels that are in the area

I'm having trouble coming up with a castle for Kingdom of Dreams. Who's castle should it be? ( Keep in mind the Earth Castle Parks are here, and I would like to avoid repeating. ) An option is I could create a Princess based around the fairytales of this world

So I feel I should list the feel I'm going for with these parks. The idea is for the non ip parks, to have a happy medium between ip and original concepts. The ip parks are where the ips can go wild, but still, it won't just have retelling of the source material, you'll get to experince new adventures with them!

What park do you want me to start with? Kingdom of Dreams, Royalty ( IP) or Villains (IP)? If you have comments or other suggestions I'd love to hear them!
