We stayed at the All Star Music this time.. we usually always stay at the All Star Sports, but that was full, so we ended up in Music.... good for us, as the fact that it's a year or a bit more newer shows.. maybe it's been remodeled recently? All the pictures in the main lobby of music stars look new.. mostly country stars too :D!! But the hotel is looking clean and fresh... good experience there, stayed two nights... to get into the hotel via car, now you have your driver's license checked out and matched with info on a clipboard.. tougher security to get in.. causes a few lines, but it's worth it in my opinion...

Only got to go to two parks.. time constraints really, got there real late on Friday night, but went to Magic Kingdom for a while on Saturday then enjoyed the pool in the later afternoon, then went to Downtown... Magic Kingdom had quite a bit of people.. not as empty as some may think... i've been there on emptier days I'll say that for sure. Emporium expansion appears to be almost done on the outside, although still covered up. Saw the new parade.. that was great! Kinda caught it by coincidence, didn't even know it was going on, but we walked out of Pecos Bill and it had just started :D... In It's a Small World I caught an Emergency Exit door wide open in the rain forest scene.. doesn't bother me, but it kinda takes it out of theme for newcomers and kids.. isn't a pretty background... of course I love seeing that kinda of stuff.. wish they had a "all the lights on tour" of all the rides one night :) The ceiling tiles could also use replacement or painting.. tons of old leaks and chunks of ceiling tile missing.. been like that for a while.. Other than that everything seemed A. OK :)

Epcot was a short stop for us this morning/afternoon before we left for home... really truly Spaceship Earth could use a revamp in the ride system and audio system in the cars... the carts have tons of thumps and bumps and jolts.. kinda annoying :(... the ride's great.. they don't need to change that.. Mexico is continuing their revamp of Mexico's front lobby themeing... American Adventure broke down when we went on it :( We waited about 15 minutes.. but it was about time to leave, so we don't know if they got it back up and running b/c we stepped out.... was looking forward to going on it too... oh well.. next time for sure w/ more time....

I swear i love that place.. wish we could go even more often, main reason we went this trip was to renew our annual passes, so we made a little trip out of it.. with all star being a little over $50 a room, we couldn't help it hehe... sure does help to "get away from it all"......... if you have any questions about anything, shoot 'em out, maybe u'll jog my memory...

oh yeah, also saw the flag being raised at Epcot to full staff at noon, along with doves or white pigeons being released (what happens to those? do they fly back?)

As for the doves, I've been wondering that myself! My guess is they are kept backstage (behind American Adventure) and return to that point when they're released. They also release them after every performance of the Candlelight Processional, and one of our choir chaperones got to let one go last year.
