Disney Transport Between Hotels

Hey,

I read that, to promote the signature restaurants at deluxe hotels, Disney was offering a "shuttle" service between them for dinner. For example, if you were staying at the BWI or BWV and had a reservation at, say, Cali Grill, you could get a free ride from the BWI to The Contemporary, and a ride back.

Has anyone tried this, how does it work, and how did it work out for you?

Never heard of this but not saying it's not true.

I believe it was a test tried a few months ago. Have not read anything current about it.

There are a few hotels you can transport, such as WL to WR via boat, WL to Contemporary via boat/bus, WL to Grand from bus, BW to YC via boat, and several more but not to many.

It was a test early in the season but my understanding was to few people used it.

Now that you mention that I do remember them testing but also have not heard anything since.

I remember this being done as a test earlier this year.

It seems like the resources and additional labor needed would not be worth it when you figure the system has worked effectively for years. I'm not saying the bus transfers are not a pain but I don't think disney has anything to gain by adding the extra shuttles. The restaurants are already full they won't make them more full by running the busses.

Yep, it was back in June and it was only some guests they selected and only those staying at GF, Poly, and Contemporary and it ended June 30. I think it was only tested for about 10 days or so, very limited. And as you say, nothing heard about it since. Disney does a lot of tests like this and many of them just go away.
