Disney to cap future Marvel movies

I actually think that lessening the rate of productions is a good idea as it becomes too difficult for "casuals" to follow and keep up. It also makes individual productions (especially TV series) less "special" or seeming like "destination viewing".

That being said, there's a massive amount of Marvel content to mine and I think there's an opportunity for plenty of compelling stories. I've long thought that they are leveraging D+ all wrong in this regard and they need a lot more small unconnected stories (I mean, stuff that takes place in the MCU but doesn't necessarily impact the "main" storyline). A good anthology series featuring different characters would be awesome especially if it could be produced at a more modest budget.

This should have been done long ago so people wouldn't be tired of superhero movies but everyone kept saying fatigue wasn't real.

I think the TV shows are what need to go. I've liked a lot of the shows, but they are the biggest contributor to making keeping up with the MCU feel like homework.

I think the shows just need better serialization and not the miniseries treatment.

Netflix daredevil universe wasn’t actually bad conceptually at all. It’s just that iron fist was a total turd.
