Disney Studios: status as of my proposed par..k's opening (or shortly afterward)

Well, I am now close to the completion of the renderings of my Magic Kingdom park from my proposed 6th Disney theme park. So far, I have Frontierland and Critter Country left to do. As I had originally planned, there were 3 theme parks within the entire Disney park resort. However, I think I need to cut back a bit for now, since I can hardly imagine 3 full-fledged parks opening at the same time! As of the opening day, we will have the Magic Kingdom of course! Riptide Lagoon has been placed on hold-- indefinitely, and probably would be quite a few years later, since we need the time to see how the park does financially.

As for the Disney Studios park, sort of the same here, but not quite. One of the things I wanted was to have a production facility on the park property as of opening day or shortly afterward. Therefore, Disney Studios will be open, but not in its completed form as a full-fledged theme park, as in the case of Disney-MGM when it opened. What we'll have is mainly a studio complex; with tours, or course; plus a few rides and attractions.

Disney Studios will be an actual working stuio, with six soundstages (double the number of Disney-MGM), a backlot (which includes "Residential Street", which is no longer in Florida), an animation studio, plus a few rides and attractions, as well as the Earfell Tower-- an actual working water tower for the studio, not an oversized prop like its Disney-MGM counterpart! This is a list of what can be found on opening day, which will be shortly after the Magic Kingdom opens its gates for the first time! The attractions below will only be a fraction of what will be offered in the future, when Disney Studios turns into a full-fledged theme park complex similar to Disney-MGM in Orlando, gives the park resorts profits and attendance in the coming years. Here is a list of these opening day attractions:

1.) Cinemagic Special Effects Stage
2.) Disney Studio 1: which includes:
a.) Sound Studio: a mock SFX studio, where guests add sound effects to various Disney cartoons!
b.) TV Zone: similar to the now-defunct Disney-MGM attraction; where guests interact with characters on both classic and current TV sitcoms!
3.) The Great Movie Ride (with primarily different movie scenes from the WDW ride)
4.) Hyperion Theater, featuring Playhouse Disney: Live on Stage!
(in addition to the Playhouse Disney show, the 2,000 seat Hyperion Theater presents other shows as well throughout the day, featuring various Disney characters!)
5.) Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular: even though Disney-MGM has this, I think this is one of their very best attractions, and therefore, should be included here!)
6.) Jim Henson's Muppet*Vision 3-D
7.) Magic of Disney Animation: a real animation studio, broken up into the following sections:
a.) Cel Animation: used primarily for demonstration purposes, TV cartoons for ABC and The Disney Channel, and an occasional theatrical cartoon short to accompany Disney's feature film releases. Not sure if Disney will ever make 2-D cel cartoons again, hopefully they will, since this was a very bad decision for Disney, IMHO!
b.) 3-D Computer Animation: this will be the studio's main product, for reasons described above.
c.) Clay Animation: used primarily for demonstration purposes, since Disney has used, or will probably use, very little of its product-- a real shame, since this is a great but very underrated form of animation, IMHO!

8.) Star Tours
9.) Studio Tour: Behind the Scenes
10.) That's Entertainment!: Hollywood Gallery: includes exhibits and artifacts from Hollywood and the entertainment industry (past and present).
11.) Tron: The Ride (based on an earlier proposal on the Imagineers forum, and located appropriately in the Animation Courtyard!)
12.) Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?: Play It!

This is roughly twice the number of rides and attractions Hollywood Pictures in California Adventure offers, and slightly over half the number that Disney-MGM Studios has to offer. Once again, this is what will be offered for the park's opening-- at least twice that number will be avaliable a few years down the road, when Disney Studios turns into a full-fledged theme park!

In addition, Disney Studios will have:

* a Hollywood-based parade similar to Disney Stars and Motor Cars, which currently runs at Disney-MGM. For this, I am seriously considering incorporating Hollywood-themed muscial tunes into the parade; such as "Hooray for Hollywood", "There's No Business Like Show Business", "We're In the Money", and "That's Entertainment!", just to name a few!

* Sorcery In the Sky fireworks show: which will be presented nightly.

* POSSIBLY Fantasmic!, if I should decide to put it here!

If anyone has questions, comments, and/or suggestions, please feel free to post! :)

What I actually meant, is that if I don't put Fantasmic! in Disney Studios, I will place it in the Magic Kingdom, by the Rivers of America (this is where Disneyland has their Fantasmic! show, which is considered far superior to Disney-MGM's Fantasmic! by many).

In fact, I am conducting a poll on this forum to help me determine where to place Fantasmic! You're welcome to vote in my poll if you wish! :)

And I also gave you my opinion on another thread which asks for help on the time issue!

A few revisions

I now have a couple of minor revisions to my ride & attraction lineup for Disney Studios on opening day; which will be around the time the MK and the park resort open, or shortly afterward.
Here is what I now have:

1.) Beauty and the Beast: Live on Stage!
2.) Cinemagic Special Effects Stage
3.) Disney Studio 1: which includes:
a.) Sound Studio: a mock SFX studio, where guests add sound effects to various Disney cartoons!
b.) TV Zone: similar to the now-defunct Disney-MGM attraction; where guests interact with characters on both classic and current TV sitcoms!
4.) The Great Movie Ride (with primarily different movie scenes from the WDW ride)
5.) Hyperion Theater, featuring Aladdin's Musical Adventure
6.) Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular: even though Disney-MGM has this, I think this is one of their very best attractions, and therefore, should be included here!)
7.) Jim Henson's Muppet*Vision 3-D
8.) Magic of Disney Animation: a real animation studio, broken up into the following sections:
a.) Cel Animation: used primarily for demonstration purposes, TV cartoons for ABC and The Disney Channel, and an occasional theatrical cartoon short to accompany Disney's feature film releases.

9.) Playhouse Disney: Live on Stage!
10.) Star Tours
11.) Studio Tour: Behind the Scenes
12.) That's Entertainment!: Hollywood Gallery: includes exhibits and artifacts from Hollywood and the entertainment industry (past and present).
13.) Tron: The Ride (based on an earlier proposal on the Imagineers forum, and located appropriately in the Animation Courtyard!)
14.) Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?: Play It!

This is roughly twice the number of rides and attractions Hollywood Pictures in California Adventure offers, and about 2/3 the number that Disney-MGM Studios has to offer. Once again, this is what will be offered for the park's opening-- nearly twice that number will be avaliable a few years down the road, when Disney Studios turns into a full-fledged theme park!

In addition, Disney Studios will have:

For this, I am seriously considering incorporating Hollywood-themed muscial tunes into the parade; such as "Hooray for Hollywood", "There's No Business Like Show Business", "We're In the Money", and "That's Entertainment!", just to name a few!

* Sorcery In the Sky fireworks show: which will be presented nightly.

* POSSIBLY Fantasmic!, if I should decide to put it here!; although I'm now leaning more towards putting the Fantasmic! theater in the MK along the Rivers of America!

3 originally, but I'll have 2 for opening day; 1 full-fledged park (The Magic Kingdom) and Disney Studios; which is mainly a production facility with a few rides and attractions. As time goes by and profits and attendance increases a few years later, Disney Studios will expand into a full-fledged park, with a number of rides and attractions similar to that of Disney-MGM.

My 3rd park, Riptide Lagoon, was planned as a water park with a small "dry ride" section; primarily with rides too intense to put in the Magic Kingdom. This park was placed on hold due to overbuild, and will open later on as porfits and attendance increases over the years.

Hope this answers your question! :)

Here are a few more facts about my park.
My proposed Disney theme park lies on a resort spanning 1200 acres of land (approximately 4 times the size of the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim). As of opening, there will be a Magic Kingdom park, and a Disney Studios park; which originally will be mainly a production facility, with a few rides and attractions.
In addition, this proposed Disney theme park resort will have 4 hotels (Disneyland Hotel, Disney's Hollywood Hotel, Disney's Contemporary Resort, and the value-priced Disney's All-Stars Resort); plus a golf course and the Downtown Disney shopping and entertainment district.

Over the coming years, as/if profits and park attendance escalate, Disney Studios will be expanded into a full-fledged theme park, will a number of rides and attractions on the scale of WDW's Disney-MGM Studios Theme Park, and a 3rd park, Riptide Lagoon; which will mainly be a water park, with a small mechanical ride section, consisting largely of rides too intense to fit into the Magic Kingdom.

Just thought you'd like to know! :)
