"Disney Stroller" in the resort gift shop

Hi everyone. I have a quick question that needs an answer before we leave next Friday....Has anyone ever purchased the Black and red stroller available in the gift shop at the resort for about $40 before?

My son is going to be 6 and I really don't feel like lugging around his Peg stroller. I'd love an umbrella one for the trip, but he is a BIG (chunky) boy.. about 50 pounds. So, really my question is, do you think it could hold him without him being terribly uncomfortable? It's really to give him a place to rest and especially for the trip through the god forsaken parking lot! I should have bought one years ago, but I need one that reclined back then. The Peg is great, but bulkier than I'd like. The Mac volo fits him, but I don't want to spend $100 for something I'm using just for this vacation. Thanks a bunch!

I understand about not wanting to spend a 100 bucks or bringing a bulky stroller but those black and red strollers would probably not hold him. I have first hand experience at people trying to put 40 lb kids in them and it barely holds enough for them to be rung up before bringing it back a hour later for a refund because it broke. I can honestly tell you not to rely or buy the one from the store because the material was not meant to hold children above 40lbs.

I have to agree about it not holding a 6 yr old. We just returned today and I looked at them just because I was curious about them. We didn't take a stroller for our son who is 6. He did fine without it. I debated about it and decided not to. We have an Evenflo umbrella stroller that I got from Walmart for $40.

Thanks! We are still on the fence. It may or may not come with us. I just think the price of the double stroller for the vacation is INSANE!
