Disney store tickets?

I'm thinking about buying my tickets from the disney store to save a few bucks, but I was just curious as to how it all ties together with the new magic band thing. I know I'll still have to buy a magic band, but can I just use my disney store ticket for the parks or will I have to transfer it to a "newer" type ticket at the parks? And how do I link my tickets to my room if I book the room online? Will it just ask me what days I plan to go so I can select my ride times? Thanks in advance, it's been awhile since I've been.

Also, the tickets sold at the Disney Stores are the exact same prices they charge at the ticket booths at the parks. You're not saving any money by buying them there. If you want to save a little money, buy your tickets from an authorized ticket reseller like Maple Leaf Tickets or Undercover Tourist.

And to expand on what PrincessNelly said, everything with My Disney Experience is linked through your profile. Once you link your park ticket and your hotel reservation (and the Bands that come with it), they all interact with each other automatically.

Thanks guys. We're actually running a bit late as our proposed trip is next month, but I'll just buy them as a package online with the room. Thanks again.
