Disney Store Employees

HI!
current (but leaving in 2 weeks) Disney Store employee....I am just curious if other stores lost as many cast members as our store did? We had cast members who had been at our store for years (as many as 11 years) that have quit....we lost 75% of our cast once the Children's Place took over. I wonder if this turn over is typical?
I also wonder why so many left? I know for me it is basically that the feeling that I actually work for Disney is no longer there, plus the loss of benefits for Team leads and part time cast.
I see that The new Disney Store seems to be slowly down sizing adult items.....has anyone heard if they are going to completely do away with adult items to make room for the upcoming infant line?
I also made a trip to see a Children's Place store---I was not impressed.....when my kids were young I bought a lot of Carter's and Osh Kosh--the quality does not begin to compare.
Anyway, sorry for the long thread, just wanted to see what others think!

At our store, all the castmembers having been working there for 5-10 years, with the exception of myself (I've been there 2 years).

When the takeover by TCP occured, our SM and ASM thought a good 50% of our cast would leave. Suprisingly, only 1 person left...

Everyone whom works at my store has been there 5-11 years... its a pretty tight knit family, and the people that work there, although enjoyed the benefits of being a DISNEY castmember, enjoy each other and don't mind spending the 4 hours a week they are scheduled.

From what I've heard the infant line we are getting in is a very small line.. nothing major, and there is always going to be the small adult line we've had for the past few years (PJ's, T's, Fleece).

I'm sorry to hear your leaving... but I understand why. I'll probably be leaving the store within the next year to go down to Florida and work. Getting a paycheck from Ezra Dahbah is definately not the same as getting one from the mouse. Good luck to you...
