Disney shopping questions

This isn't really parks related, but I didn't know where else to put it to get enough eyes looking at it for feedback.

I've heard about the Disney Outlet store or something near the parks, but have never been to it.

I was just wondering where the store(s) is located, how much of a selection do they have, the prices, and are they things that could once be found at the parks or DTD?

Basically, is it worth a trip to visit or are we better off just shopping at the parks?

Thanks

Well that is correct, there is an outlet store at the Orlando Premium Outlets it is towards the back of the mall, I've been there once before and basically it is just all kinds of stuff that didn't sell at the parks. They also have t-shirts that have years printed on them that are just not appropriate for the parks any longer. Umm price wise I dunno its been awhile since I've been in there, it is called Disney's Character Premiere.

I haven't been to the one near WDW, but we have one at our local outlet store and I was just there the other day. They have a bunch of Tiki stuff (kitchen ware, shirts, etc), clothes, stuffed animals, toys, mugs, snowglobes... most is not this year's stuff, but we always get some good buys.
