(Hollywood Reporter) -- The Walt Disney Co. has acquired the comedy spec "The Governor's Wife" for low- against mid-six figures from newcomer Pablo Zachai. The script centers on the wife of an Idaho governor who schemes to become the first lady of the United States and will stop at nothing to reach her goal. "Wife" is being produced by David Hoberman through his Mandeville Films and executive produced by Todd Lieberman, who are also producing the upcoming Disney comedy "Bringing Down the House." "Wife" marks the first feature sale for Zachai.
