Disney releases SE Mary Poppins 2 Disc CD

Walt Disney Records releases today the Mary Poppins 2-Disc Special Edition Soundtrack. The collection features over 2 ½ hours of material, including 13 never-before-released tracks, bonus interviews and commentary as well as a 40-page booklet insert.

Sounds interesting. (No pun intended!) But it would seem better to put this material (including the CD) into a DVD Special Edition Box Set, along with Special Edition DVD that is coming....

Actually, I really wish that they had released the restored print theatrically first. I think it would have done well, with good promotion, like Disney used to do, except now it really is special when classic childhood favorites are re-released to the big screen. (Same would go for Old Yeller.) Would have been a good oportunity for parents to share childhood experiences with their children... But I digress...

Cool stuff. Should be in a DVD box set.
