Disney Quest - worth it or not?

It's cool if your into video games. The games are free once inside. The build your own roller coaster is neat though and our family likes the pirate interactive game down on the 1st floor. They also have air hockey, skee ball, and classic games from the 80's. I wouldn't say it's a must do, but can make for a fun hour or so. But go early in the day.

It is kinda cool. The pirate ship is really neat. I don't like to spend too much time in there though. Would rather be outside than playing video games. Since you have the ticket, you might as well check it out. Last year we sat on the deck at House of Blues when we got a little bored in there. Kids stayed inside for a while. Not a must do, but still fun.

I went because it was included in the Play Stay & Dine package.
I'll never go again because I'm not a gamer / arcade person.
There were some nice elements but if you don't love games, then don't go.

DQ is the most gigantic waste of time in all of WDW...and this is coming from a gamer.

From a graphic standpoint, the headlining games are in line or worse than the original Wii. The classic arcade games almost always have something broken on them. You will find the tallest height restrictions in all of WDW making it a real pain if you have younger kids.

If it was free I might go. If I had to pay a dime I would skip it.

My kid loves it. For that alone, I'd go. But, it's cause I have WP&M on the ticket (for the WaterParks), and it's a fun thing to do while at DTD that doesn't involve spending money (since it's on my ticket already).

I haven't been inside for quite a long time. If your kid likes video games, I think it's definitely worth a visit. If not...probably not.

This is one of those things that I think you should try and see if you like it, assuming you have the time.

It's a good idea if some members of your party do not like shopping DD, or if yall want something to do on a rainy period.

I wouldnt advise going on the weekend. I've been once and dont plan to go back unless wife is shopping and I'm bored of theres nothing else to do.

We usually spend a couple hours there each trip, just because it is included in the water park and more option on our ticket. If it wasn't, we would not pay extra it. It is fun though. I usually take our daughter while my wife browses the shops. It was great in Sept as it was not busy at all. Our last May trip was a different story.....

We spend some time at DQ on most visits to the World. DD9 really likes it. She usually does CyberSpace Mountain a couple of times each visit (build your own Roller Coaster and then simulator ride your track), the Pirates adventure (standing on a 'boat' and shooting cannons at other boats), Jungle Cruise (sit on a raft with sensor paddles to move/steer), the Flying Carpets (virtual reality helmet flying through Aladdin scenes), and lots of vintage video games and pinball machines. We tend to avoid the Buzz Space Ranger Spin (just doesn't really appeal) and the newer video games.

She really likes being able to play pinball and video games for 'free' (or at least on the rolls of quarters we spent on our annual passes) and the other group games are fun family times.

I am not a gamer at all, but as a child of the 80s I spent some time in arcades growing up. I do enjoy our visits - none of us are any good at the games, but have fun playing. DD and DW love trying to make CyberSpace Mtn as crazy as possible. I'm not a fan of the Jungle Cruise or Flying Carpets, but certain am willing to do them with the family!

It is a nice arrival or departure day diversion and requires much less energy than touring!

Thanks guys. I think we might jump over when we drive in. I bought the water parks and more and then I got my Mickey mail. It had 2 coupons in it. I presume they are different ?!?

but if your kids are truly "gamers" they will be pi$$ed that you wasted their "park time" LOL! It is pathetic, seriously.

My fiance is really into video games and he absolutely loved it. I on the other hand had him meet me at the bar at Bongo's so I could enjoy a couple mojitos lol.

If you've never been and have a few hours to spend, it's worth a look see. I wouldn't pay for it OOP though. And they do tend to get a little busy in the evening.

There are two individual vouchers in every package. Since you have the WPM option, the vouchers are just extra for you. It will cost each member of your group one visit on your WPM option to visit DQ.

Are folks still making new, state of the art arcade games?
Yes. They are not made at the same production volume as years gone by, but there are still new game cabinets that come out every year.

This however is not DQ's problem. The problem is the custom, supposed to be state of the art games in DQ are decades old and it shows.

If it is included and you say it is and you have the time why not? If you have a chance to go I would if you don't like it and you're not paying for it then just walk right out :), better to try it out otherwise in the future if and when they do remove it you might regret not going.

For the record I quite enjoy Disney Quest, although I certainly wouldn't sacrifice any actual time I could spend in the parks there, definitely worth a visit in the evening even if it is busier.. ( I have never paid for it though as it is included in UK ultimate tickets, might feel differently if I had paid to enter! It is dated but still enjoyable for a couple of hours)
