i have an idea for a graphic novel i'd like to pitch. problem is, i don't have the slightest idea as to how to go about it. agent? submitting directly to disney book group? just wondering if anyone here has any experience/advice for going about this. thanks in advance.

I'd check with an agent to protect yourself from getting ripped off. It also wouldn't hurt to send type up your idea in full and then send it to yourself registered mail and never open it. That way you have a firm date as to when you came up with the idea (it's more or less a poor mans copyright)...unless you can afford to have it copywrited.
