Disney proposal ideas

Certainly not planning anything serious, considering I'm single at the moment...though no harm in daydreaming. What are some of your ideas for popping the question @ Disney? (Not the "How long is the wait for Mission Space question...)

Mine would be this (feel free to use this one, let me know the response)--

Take a nighttime stroll along the Boardwalk. Go to one of the binoculars and use it; say it just clicked off when your intended goes to look. Say something like, "Hmm, I think I have a quarter", look in your pockets, and take out the ring.

I proposed at Disney World, in the Magic Kingdom on one of the nights of Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party last October. I have pics of the whole thing, and a little blurb, on my site at http://staff.beaumont.k12.tx.us/kbland under Thursday, October 17 2002.

Unfortunately, I believe they've since closed down the Special Events office, which is what you go through to make arrangements for something like this.

Anyway, it was a great time and she was taken completely by surprise. We'll be back in Disney World this October, only this time we'll be saying "I Do" in the Wedding Pavillion.

Outside of coordinating a proposal with Disney, there are still plenty of great ways to pop the question there. I'll dig through some sites, but there is even an outside agency that will help you surprise your intended by doing such things as having a scavenger hunt through World Showcase at Epcot, with the ending item being the ring or something along those lines. I did a whole lot of reading up on ideas last year.

Cinderella's Fountain, by the castle, is a popular spot to propose. The walk from the TTC to the Polynesian during the MK's fireworks is also a good spot for it.

It should really come down to something that matches both of your personalities, and how you want the mood to feel. Luckily, Disney World has something to fit just about every mood and personality, so you should be able to find a perfect fit with a little thought.

Good Luck!

Daydreaming yes, but nope, not married...or engaged...or dating for that matter. Plenty of time though, I'm 24.

Spend the day taking in her favorite attractions at her favorite park. Nice dinner at her fav restaurant. Quiet walk along the lake (or a nature trail). Tell her what a great time you had together and then ask her if she would spend all of her days with you. Have that ring ready to slip on her finger.
People who ask in public always scare me. What if she says "no". My DH had the answer...don't ask unless you are sure she will say "yes"!.

Rent the Breathless from the Yacht and Beach Club I believe it was. You can watch Illuminations from it. During the show just pop the question. Very romantic way if you ask me.
