Disney Parks phone case defect

About three weeks ago I purchased a phone case for my phone at Magic Kingdom. Today I look at the back and the whole thing is chipping apart! I’m a bit peeved that I paid $30 and it couldn’t last a month.

I had another phone case I bought from there and it lasted nearly 3 years and still looks great. I’m not a fan of the new cases they’re using.

No it wasn’t an otterbox case. It was one of the cases that is the black rubber coating and the plastic back. It seems like my fingernail can easily take the design off easily. Seems like a big problem with the cases if it’s the same for all of them.

Just call merchandising and let them know. I just bought one in December and hubby too and no issues with ours so that’s not the norm even for the current cases. We too have the ones with black rubber and plastic back piece. They will likely replace it for you even if you don’t have the receipt after you call and email them a picture. I have had numerous things replaced before this way.

I have one of the Disney otterbox's and I love it! The cast member tried to talk me into getting a custom case, letting me know it was cheaper but I was worried about the quality. Glad I got the otterbox instead! My roommate has 2 custom disney cases and they're holding up great, but I've had people say that it cheaps pretty fast so I guess it just depends :/.

Have you looked at your phone itself? Everyone I know with a Disney case regrets it because the finish of the phone somehow gets scratched and dented in the case.
