Disney Package and Ticket Upgrades

Hello everyone and happy new year !

I got a quick question as this is my first time going to Orlando , going from the 25th of April to the 7th of may , i called Disney about a week or two ago about upgrading my tickets from non park hopper to park hopper and she basicly told me that she couldnt do it herself and that i had to use MDE to do it , yet there is nothing i can do about tickets except buy new ones , is there anything i actually am supposed to do or am i stuck with non park hoppers ? If anyone could help me i would appreciate it , the booking has both room , tickets and disney dining. Thanks in advance ! It sounds like you already have the tickets you want to upgrade.

If that is the case then you can either upgrade the ticket with the MDE app or you can just upgrade them when you arrive at the parks. The only downside is you will not be able to book a package as that requires a ticket purchase.

If you do not already have tickets, then you can book whatever you want. Parkhopping is not required in order to book a package (room, tickets, and dining)

If you booked a MYW package, which it sounds like you have, call back in a few days and ask them to do it. They should easily be able to change the components of your package.

It was indeed it was non hopper tickets , room and disney dining , when i called she told me that she just wasnt able to do it herself and that MDE was the only option to upgrade them , i made the booking like a month and a half ago which is why i was a little bit confused to not even be able to upgrade them to park hoppers

There is nothing i can do on MDE except buy brand new tickets , there are no upgrade options at all

Do you see your package in MDE? (now may not be the best time to look since MDE is having issues, but) You should see your resort and tickets and mention of the dining plan.

If you don't see your package in MDE, it may need to be linked.

I do yes but when i look at tickets it tells me "select tickets" and "link tickets" , my tickets are already linked so these are the only options i have at the moment , my package is linked though , its just not showing the disney dining plan but i think thats how its supposed to be as the dining thing is for dining reservations at restaurants , hotel and tickets are showing fine

A cast member will need to upgrade you. Call back and tell them you can not upgrade through MDE. If they say that is the only way than have them transfer you to an MDE CM. The only way they shouldn't be able to modify is if the tickets were bought from a third party. If they were bought from a third party than you would have to upgrade through guest services when you arrive.

All of this said, you stated you got the package through Disney and a CM, over the phone, should be able to help you. Tyr a different CM, that one maybe didn't think that they could.
