May be planning a trip in June and it's been years since I've been during that month. I know some places are still in school that first week or so, but anything to watch for during June? I know it's the start of summer and I know it's hot...doesn't bother us at all.

Anyone like or dislike June?

I'm not expecting low crowds, but also not expecting the peak of Summer crowds.

We like to go the last week in May, some schools are still going on that week. It seems to start getting a little more crowded the first week of June. I like that time as its not crazy hot yet, and its good weather to get wet and dry off in. The park hours are also a little longer in the summers. I think its a great time to go!

That's my sense too...I'm a little leery about crowds that ramp in the summer, but Disney is practically always crowded these days. Even May started to become more crowded as colleges were out and Flower and Garden is on.

My main concern are tour groups, but they seem to come all times of year too. The "slow" times are seemingly all but dead.

We go the very first of June. I avoid Memorial Day weekend (and week) as it seems to be a little busier than the 1st week of June. Half the schools here are out then, and a lot in the south but in the north most are still in - some until mid-end June. It's better than Spring Break (not Easter/Passover) IMO.

Take breaks. I like to plan inexpensive lunches to get out of the heat. We relax in the pool and go back in the evening. We are DVC members and go often so we try not to sweat it (ha ha) if we don't do something. Mornings before the heat (if you are sensitive) are more tolerable and less likely for rain too. We were hit with TS Colin last year, but most of the time you get maybe a passing shower in the day but not a deluge of rain.

I usually hit WDW the week right before Memorial. Crowds at that time are manageable.

I do a June 3-night weekend as well. Almost always toward the latter part of the month. I've hated the crowds when trying to navigate the parks. My June trip now consists of: preferably staying at the Waldorf or Hilton at Bonnet Creek because of the pool area. Disney Springs, World Showcase, some resort hopping, maybe a dinner show like HDDR, Boardwalk or PORS for Yeeha. Generally "off the beaten path" kind of things.

We've been a couple of times to celebrate DD's birthday (toward the end of the month) and crowds weren't too bad -- I figure it's the pre-July Fourth lull when folks that would ordinarily be there are waiting to come the first week of July.
