Disney no longer selling surplus? CM's or those in the know?

I know there used to be a seller on eBay who sold tons of stuff including everything from uniforms to door placards to retired ride cars and everything in between but out of curiosity I just checked their listings and they have zero items for sale... http://stores.ebay.com/MOUSE-SURPLUS

wondering if Disney decided to stop selling off pieces of magic or if mouse surplus went under for some reason.

Yes...that is the one that actually got me looking as I never had any luck winning any auctions I had given up long ago. All costumes seem to have dried up on eBay which was why I was curious.

You should check out Theme Park Connection. They have a physical store as well as sell through eBay. Also Disney used to (maybe still does) give a large number of costumes to Salvation Army. The Salvation Army on 192 in Kissimmee sometimes has racks full of Disney costumes.

I started the thread that was linked-to above regarding the ToT costume. It looks like themeparkconnection still has plenty of items, and has just listed another ToT shirt:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Disney-Cast...227?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5668404a3b

Maybe Mouse Surplus is just light on inventory now?

Also, for those concerned about the origin of Disney costumes, and whether they are stolen, etc. here is the reply I got back from themeparkconnection when I bought a ToT bellhop costume from them:

"We do not purchase any stolen goods. All of our items we purchase are logged and on file with the Orange County Sheriff's Office. This uniform was either bought directly from Disney due to surplus or change in style, or it was bought from a Cast Member who received it as a gift or through purchase. Hope this helps. Thank you so much!"

I can just image someone walking on the street with a bell-hop costume....:P

I do believe that Theme Park Connection is the phoenix rising from the ashes of Mouse Surplus. Some disagreement between former owners/coworkers or some such resulting in the new entity.

I just went to TPC a few days ago and got a bunch of random stuff for $20. One of those items was the red cards that disney uses to get the wait times. I also got like 20 old FPs and a few booklets with all the tickets A,B,C etc that disney used to use. I also got a CM safety and helth handbook. There are a few other items in that $20 bundle, but that's the main stuff.

I've bought some stuff online from theme park connection and I have been pleased with my purchases. I got a Pop Century bedspread and a Mickey table cloth. I think it is pretty cool.

Don't go to TPC. It's a ripoff. There's hardly any decent merchandise and it is all overpriced.

But what disney sells in the parks is reasonably priced:cautious:

Don't take offense it is just funny to think of calling anything overpriced when it comes to Disney. I tend to think of it as implied.

I seriously need a Doombuggy for my playroom. I'm serious.

UPDATE.....
So I JUST saw some prices for ride vehicles on ebay and I am not that serious. :D
