Disney mugs

I dont know if anyone does this but if u buy one of the resort mugs you are only meant to use them for ur length of stay. Well i have seen people who are using ones from 1997 and i witnessed this in 2001 so disney are testing new mersures to stop this from happening check the link.check this out.

At the risk of repeating myself when i bought ours I was told they were good for life if you purchased a new sticker on each visit. Im sure it wasnt much more than $5. And it dosent take many cokes to get youre moneys worth.

Wow! Actually this is the first time that I'm hearing about a "sticker" that you can buy instead of having to purchase a new mug! We stayed at the Polynesian last December and bought mugs (1st time in all of our visits actually) but this time we're staying at OKW. Have you been there lately in which you know these stickers are available? I just wanted to know before I pack them in our suitcase! So it's like $5.00 for the sticker and then I think I read it's $1.75 for each refill, is that correct? Thanks much!!!!!! :animwink:

It doesn't work if it's the wrong Resort mug...I have never heard of it being okay to use a different Resort mug at your Resort.

Wow! Actually this is the first time that I'm hearing about a "sticker" that you can buy instead of having to purchase a new mug!

I was refering to the mugs in the water parks!!!!!!
However as im sure ive read here and was told by a CM at the Riverside shop that the mug is good for life.
Even if it isnt i paid $8 for mine I drink £1.20 a days worth of coke even in the UK that means after 6 days Im in profit so I get 8 days worth of gratis drinking. Hoorah for the mugs!!

I bought mugs at All Star Movies two years ago and used the same mugs at All Star Music last year, no problem. The only time I had a problem with the mugs was at the Contemporary. We split our trip between the ASMovies and the Contemporary. We were not allowed to use them at the Contemporary eventhough it was during the same trip. We bought Contemporary mugs too.
I didn't feel bad about using the ASMovies & Contemporary mugs at ASMusic because I paid twice during my last trip.

If pedantic dobbers like you didnt keep making posts like this the list wouldnt get as long. Perhaps you should keep youre unbridled enthusiasum for searching past topics in check, as some people enjoy a bit of personal input. Or perhaps you are just keen to demonstrate your mountain of Disney related knowledge. :zipit:

i thought i would throw my 2 cents into this since i worked @ All star sports and blizzard beach for a couple months this past spring on the collage program as a Quick service foods host...

first the article is sorta wrong, the new barcode stickers are at Blizzard beach, not TL.

At AS Sports there were posters on the wall in the back, and little ads up the registers that advertised the mugs. In little print at the bottom of the poster it says "length of stay only". But it is hard to tell if they bought them that trip or not since the design has only changed once.... But if someone went to fill up the older style mug at the foutians, no cast member would say anything to them. (the only time i saw another cast member say something to them was when the security bracelet was still on the handle, so she went up to them and asked to see if they paid for it, because cashiears have been knowen to forget to cut it off)


The bar code system works pretty well at blizzard beach, it has cut down the lines alot. It takes a couple minutes to figure out how to work it, but after you figure it out.. its easy.
