On January 1 and 4 2016, a bunch of Disney movies are leaving Netflix including:
The Rescuers and Rescuers Down Under
Pocahontas
The Fox and the Hound
Dumbo
The Aristocats
The Great Mouse Detective
The Nightmare Before Christmas
The Tigger Movie

So, if you have Netflix and want to see any of these movies, this week is your last chance. Afterwards, your only choices are digital or Disney DVD/Blu-ray.

Good thing I decided to watch The Aristocats ahead of time before my senior trip on Netflix. Now I have the film refreshed in my memory.

I wouldn't have been able to watch so much of the animated canon this past year if it weren't for Netflix. It's a bit sad to see these go, especially The Fox and the Hound.

Looks like I have to invest in some more Blu-rays now...

I worry it's going to be evil if I don't pay close attention and I'll end up with nothing but direct-to-video "Buddies" movies, but I joined the Disney Movie Club a couple of weeks ago. I've already gotten the first 6 discs.

The titles on Netflix have never been the best Disney animated films or the live action stuff I loved as a kid. And the big box stores only have the latest releases for $30/blueray. So I decided to suck it up, spend the money and join the club. Hope I don't regret this....

I imagine another set of mostly 2nd tier animated films will end up on Netflix soon. It never fails to disappoint....

I belong to the movie club. I don't think you'll regret it. Just make sure you pay attention to the featured title so you don't end up with stuff you don't want. But the featured titles are usually fairly new releases so it's unlikely you'll end up with the Buddies that way.
