If you ask me, Disney is doing a bit better in the movies recently.

Who do we have to thank for this? M. Night Shymalan(SP?). His Junior project, SIGNS, is doing fine in the standings with only xXx in front of it this week. I, for one, hope that this is the beginning of some great movies put out by Disney. :)

Compared to the rest of the movies this year, it has been a horrible year for Disney.

Sure they are #3 based on market share but that is only because of Signs. Bad Company bombed, Reign of Fire underperformed and the Country Bears was an embarassment.

They had successes with The Rookie, Lilo & Stitch, and Signs but it could have been better. A whole lot better.

They still have Sweet Home Alabama, Spirited Away, The Santa Clause 2, and Treasure Planet left in the works along with a couple I can't remember.

The Rookie really is no winner yet. You gotta remember, not the whole world likes baseball like the Americans. I don't think that movie is gonna do good down here.

And is Bad Company really that bad? It looks like fun? Nothing new, nothing original, just popcorn fun.
