Disney Monorail

Wow...He or she might have made those ones. F.A.O. Schwartz makes some wooden ones for trains, but I don't know if the Monorail train set would work, or look good in them, plus they are expensive. I would try there first.

If I remember correctly all his brackets and hanging devices were home made, as for the toy, The last time I saw them was at a Disney store a few years back.

Yeah, Bagheera is right. The only way to get a monorail from an "official" source without actually being at WDW/DL is through mail order. You could always try EBay though. :)

Well I got the Mono and Contemporary shipped home from Once Upon a Toy and got Spaceship Earth, Grand Floridian, and the Wilderness Lodge Lincon Logs off E-Bay, and the Polynesian from Disney Mail Order.

Still need to get some of the attractions....

(but i must say the monorail takes up a lot of room!)

I'm going to guess upwards of $500 for the set. Figure $60 for each of three base monorail sets (black, red, and yellow), $35 each for Contemporary, Spaceship Earth, California Screamin' and the Golden Gate Bridge, and $22 for the Astro Orbiter, plus $6 for attraction activator kits for Screamin' and the Orbiter, plus a bunch of extra track kits. Plus either tax or shipping. Either way, it's a heck of a wad to drop on it. I'm envious!
