I hope i posted this in an appropriate place, im still kinda new. Actually, the main reason i joined is so i could discuss Disney- things with like minded people. Do you guys ever feel like no one wants to hear your Disney musings? haha.
Today I was talking to my best friend since 2nd grade (im 29) and I told her she should go see Tangled this weekend, she said "Well maybe I'll sneak in after I see the Fighter"...besides the fact that I was flabbergasted that she even said that me (my sister is a Producer/Director) on a moral level...I responded "Well no, I want you to go see it cause I want Tangled to make money haha". Then I went on to explain, very briefly in like 3 sentences, why so much is riding on Tangled. To which she responded "Oh. I dont care." ....I was silent for a second and then said "Oh my god, do you know me? You like, just did the equivalent of calling my child an idiot or something" lol...Now i was totally kidding around with her, and it was in good fun, but in all seriousness...UGH im getting so sick of it. I feel like its just because its "Disney" is why Its labeled as annoying. If I was talking about something more people perceived to be "an adult topic of conversation", no one would bother me. Luckily, my sister and fiance are down my alley for the most part, but my friends are not.
