I heard something about a Halloween event geared towards an older audience the MNSSHP, hosted by Jack Skelleton. Can anyone give me more info on this?

Sorry if this was already ask.

Its all been speculation so far, nothing but a bunch of rumors and hopes. Something may come next year though, but there is no telling...

If it were true, it would have been announced by now. I wish they would do something. MNSSHP is a great time, but geared more towards the little ones. HHN at Universal has been fun, but it has gotten so crowded it is difficult to enjoy, even on the "slower" nights. I went to Howl-O-Scream at Busch Gardens for the first time last year and enjoyed it more than HHN. This year they seem to have the same houses, or at least the same theme to the houses.

If Disney does decide to do a Halloween event for the older crowd, I am sure they will start promotions early given the competition in the area.

I heard that and Haunted Mansion Holiday were coming next year.....oh wait we have heard that last part EVERY year. Yup just a rumor and I am sure we will hear it for a while to come.

Universal is kinda expecting Disney to attempt it at some point. The problem with the idea is that a "scary" Halloween runs an extreme risk of alienating families that don't pay attention because it's Disney.

Maybe they'll run a small test this year...a weekend event...

I could see something like Star Wars weekends only horror related at The Studios...that would rock.

:D

I've always been partial to the idea of a horror event in the Magic Kingdom... :lookaroun

Undead Pirates in Adventureland...

Frontierland becomes a ghost town, inhabited by the restless spirits of the Wild West

Tomorrowland becomes under attacked by a blood-thirsty race of aliens.

And the character villians take over Fantasyland.

I just always felt that there was so much potential.

Main Street USA is full of singing evil barbershop zombie quartets!

Liberty Square becomes over run by the presidents of the undead! And I guess they could do something with that mansion building over there, I dont know...

:lookaroun

I haven't heard anything about this before but I think it would be great!
As stated in the thread...just a weekend event would be a great way to start out!;)

I was think that too. It would most likely be then same parents who insiste on taking their liitle children of Alien Encounters because they want to see it and then get mad at Disney when their kids get scared. Even though they didn't have enough sense to listen to the warnings or read a sign that tells you it may be to intense for children unber a certin age. Ugggg, those people annoy me so much.

that does sound like a good idea, but because it is disney, people will be expecting the family.

But then again, Disney-MGM is the least family oriented park in WDW. It's my favorite park because its all about movies, and I am a film student, but my little cousins are bored to tears their because their not tall enought to go on any of the good rides.

Disney/MGM Studios makes sense to host halloween nights. Disney owns a wide range of scary movies to tap into. Their connection with Marimax (the Scream Movies, I know what you did, even Shaq in Kazam) will create some great tie ins and maybe they can work on a scary movie to be released in conjunction with the halloween nights.
Just my thoughts.
