What is the difference between Disney Mania, and Disney Mania Vol 1op? I know they relesed it again but for what? BTW im gettin Disney Mania 2 tomarrow !:drevil:

I've never heard of the Vol. 1: Pop thing! So I'm curious on that, too. But after hearing enough tracks online from Disney Mania 2 that made me wanna :hurl: I will most definitely not be buying it.

Hilary Duff is one of the main reasons I'm NOT buying it. She's done one or two songs that were okay, but AIM had her version of the Siamese Cat Song from Disney Mania 2 the other day to listen to online, and that screeching was the nail in the coffin that finalized my decision not to get it.

As a father with two young daughters, please provide me with the basis of this anger. When faced with certain alternatives (Brittney and X-tina) Hillary comes off as being OK.

While I don't hate her as a person (I have not met her and will not make that judgement without meeting her), I do hate that Disney just plasters her all over everything, like that will somehow make up for throwing together a shabby CD with all the same artists all over again. I personally do not care for her music at all, and get tired of seeing her name on every other Disney compilation release. Give us someone who can really sing, and stop giving us Hilary Duff, Jump 5, LMNT, etc. on every single CD release.

And just remember, Britney stared out as a 'nice, clean' Mousketeer, too.

The Hilary Hate (as it was aptly termed) comes from a cycle that Disney does with it's young 'stars'. The put somebody on a show or in a movie until they become a popular name, then spin them out into various other forms of entertainment. They have done it with Hilary Duff, and begun doing it with Lindsey Lohan and Raven Symone. The motives behind this is simply financial, and that bothers me personally, a great deal. Don't worry though... the plan always backfires as the star's head gets too big and they begin to think THEY know what is best and when they try to cut the strings they fall on their face.

Hillary will be the next Brit and X-Tina... just give it time.

Hasn't Disney always done that with young stars....Annette...Hayley Mills, etc.? I always thought these young stars sign like a 3 movie deal with Disney. I think I remember Lindsay Lohan talking about it on her website. I don't think Disney is "using" these young stars, without Disney's help they probably wouldn't be as popular and I've heard they, along w/their families, go to WDW and on the DCL for free. It doesn't upset me that Disney's motive might be financial, I doubt they'd promote these young stars for the fun of it. -Stephanie

ok now to get back on topic thanks i bought disney mania to day it is ver good and for all the Hilary Haters well id like to c u do better in the simese cat song it is soo kick bum its unbeleivable, the circle of life by the disney channel is is is is is is is is is im speechless, the bahamen do the its a small world, its cool, my favorite song is the main street song at the end with the electrical parade. Its a good cd up to a point then you dunt understand y they put some of the songs on it. I also liked the dude who sounds like arron carters song its cool, and remeber, Zip id do da my o my what a wonderful day.

Watch it buddy. I'm sure with a professional studio and plenty of money backing the Hillary Haters, we could make Hillary look like a Idol Reject. Don't challenge people you know nothing about because it will come back to bite you in the end. None of the people you have mentioned have any real musical credibility. I hate to blunt, but you have fallen for the commercial trap.

i hate that they took a name of an awsome show at wdw and turned it into nothing similar to the show at all a bunch of pop crap. i wish the show would be turned into a cd i would so buy that i just love the way cool version of zippty doo dah from that show DisneyMania rocks RIP

Can anyone tell me the track list for Disney Mania 2? I have heard nothing about it. I watch Disney Channel all the time so that's scary. I like the 1st one so hopefully the the 2nd one will be good too.

As for the teen actor thing. I read an article on the Internet about this not too long ago. Disney doesn't get any outside help to run the Disney Channel. Therefore it needs money. They turn their stars from the channels into icons. They then sell them on CD's and in movie's and merchandise, etc. This is how they get the money and keep the Channel going. Hilary just got spoiled and left the company. Raven and Lindsay will probably do it too. I still like all of them though.

Its ok, but I think I liked the first one better. I bought it today, but I really dont like Hilary duff and the siames song or whatever.(however when it was originally recorded for the movie I enjoyed that one).I really cant stand pop, or rock, but I only listen to it cuz its disney.But Ive only got up to a whole new world song, and I like that song no matta what form its in so.

Ok Buddy calm ur hormones, u would only make hilary sound like a Idol Reject cuz ur a Hater( that some one who hates on others), and i respect that becuase everybodys got a different opinion to music, by the way the letters C and U I used were there becuase i wanted to type short hand, and i dont have to sound all smart and everything becuase i haven't yet graduated high School yet (woot 1 year and 3 qtrs. left woot VOKE PRIDE). And how dont the, The Baha Men have no music credibility I don't see you have a #1 hit single of the summer in 2000. I know when I was in Highschool, the typing class was in Junior or Senior year. Of course, it was only an elective and most Seniors took it to 'coast' on through. English, on the other hand, is pretty much taught since day 1.

A comment I made earlier on music today...I miss the BANDS. Seems like the popular stuff today is all vocalists singing someone elses music. I guess when your musical 'zenith' starts with the Beatles, everything else pales in comparison.

Um, Disneymania 2 does not have every single artist from the first one. Sure there are about 5 artists back again, but they have proven to sell and proven to have the right style for this kind of project. It is a bit more poppy than the first, but I kind of like that it is more upbeat. Do I think Hillary Duff is strongly talented, <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/23/23_2_91.gif' border=0></a> however I don't think Hillary would go the way of Brit and Xtina, but who knows. I think for now Hillary is a great choice for kids to listen to...
