I strongly loved how atmospheric and chilling Illuminations: Reflection of Earth was. The preshow always got the guests pumped out as the fire moved in sync to the songs that played. He is the type of person who Disney desperately needs but rather hire bean counters or people that can find another way to get that last penny in your pocket. RIP
It's a shame some of his stories never got written down. I would loved to hear his side on the production of Reflections of Earth.I took his classes twice, and I am just beyond devastated at the news. We emailed a bit, and he was always willing to chat, and more-over, help me grow as a person and as an entertainer. He never ceased to tell me stories of the things he did at Disney. many of which have never been written down, and which I am trying to write down as best as I remember to have a record of in the coming years. To think I was going to email him this week to ask him if I could come over to his office for a chat about things.
I will miss him dearly.
Couldn't agree more. Not to get into whole argument about new show but Illuminations was a classic from start to finish and current one is just some music and fireworks kind of put together. We would make sure we saw illuminations as much as possible during our stayI strongly how atmospheric and chilling Illuminations: Reflection of Earth was. I remember seeing two young girls dancing when this song (starts at 11:00 mark) was playing during my third visit to WDW during our 2015 Senior Trip.Couldn't agree more. I was lucky enough to hear him walk through the show using Disney's internal video of the show that included a flat view of what was on the globe. Not once but twice. He talked all about that show and many of his others, and some of it is in his book that I absolutely cherish. It's a shame some of his stories never got written down. I hope Disney will do something for him tonight at Epcot, but I doubt it. Most of the people he worked with are either retired or have died... And the current administration isn't exactly in line with his train of thought on entertainment, as he told me many times. Would be nice though.Couldn't agree more. Illuminations: Reflections of Earth is to night-time shows what Horizons is to attractions.
I night wouldn't be complete having seen HarmoniUS.Amen to that, a day at Epcot wouldn't been complete without checking out RoE to finish off the day. Something that HarmoniUS doesn't feature.
