Disney Leadership and Disney Human Resources

I took Human Resources last semester. It was ok. It was a really long class that got boring at times. I needed it to get some credit while I was on the program so it was worth it. The tests were really easy which was nice because I didn't have much time to study. I liked my exploration series class WAY better.

I did the communication class and it was AMAZING! We heard from people in each communication field at WDW; Media Communication, Government Communication (this was the only boring class), Guest Communication, and Cast Communication. I had to miss class once to go to a friend's surprise birthday breakfast and made sure I made the class up on another day.

I'm thinking about taking classes to satisfy my Business Management minor.

What classes would you folks recommend?

Also...

How long are the classes?
How often do they meet?
Do they require much studying?

I would recomend you print out the sylabi (is that right?) for all the business classes offered and take them to your advisor (if they are in the business department) or the chair person in that department. That's what I did last year and he was able to look them over and tell me which they would accept credit for. It turned out my school doesn't do credit that way but I just turned the homework into him to and have a paper to write for an independent study.

My Human Resource Management class (which went towards my business minor) met from either 3-7 or 4-7. It only met for the whole time for the first half of the classes. I believe this is the average length for all collegiate courses.

I believe all courses no matter what kind meet once a week. Mine didn't require much studying because a lot of the tests were common sense.

Is it true you have to wear business attire to class?

You do unless you have to work after or before class then you can wear your work costume. It wasn't too bad. I got use to it since it was only once a week. O yea if your going for fall or fall advantage you won't have class Thanksgiving week because most people will be working a 6 day week instead of a 5 day week.
