Disney Jobs

I was just curious if there was a way to get a "college" level job with Disney, without being a CP. The reason I ask is I am going to graduate college in May and I don't really want to put off a semester (b/c I don't get college credit for being a CP at my college), plus I am getting married in July of next year and don't really want to put that off either. Like many of you, I would love to work for the Disney company...anyone have any suggestions???

hi nibblesandbits!

the cp is the best foot in the door that i've found in all of my (years) of research.
i don't know if you know this already, but they do allow you to interview & go to disney following graduation. (that's actually what i'm doing.) for example, you could interview during your spring semester and go for the college program in the fall. also, you are not required to live in cp housing, which might be useful since you're getting married.

hope this info helps...

Yes, I did know that they let you do your CP right after you graduate...but my fiance already has a job...(although I am sure that he would move down there...he works for Hyatt...so there is that possiblility). However, I am concerned that if I did end up doing the CP, that it would ruin the magic for me...while I do know that the CP is the easiest way to become a CM, and I will take your advice into consideration because it is good advice, is there any other way?

thanks for the compliments! i've received so much great advice on here, that anything i can share back i will. :)

ruining the magic was something i considered too, but i think it will really be something to be backstage, in the utilidors, etc.

i don't know where you are located, but on the disney job search site you can check listings at many locations in the u.s. and internationally...if you haven't checked that out, then that might give you some new ideas also.

No problem! Glad I could give you the compliments!

I did look at the disney job search site and after doing that, that's what started my thread here! :) But also very good advice.
