Disney Internships?

Hello Everyone:wave:,
I have a quick question about Disney Internship possibilities... I am a senior in college. I will be staying a fifth year to reach the required credits to sit for the CPA exam after college. I am an accounting/marketing Double major with pretty good grades. I honestly know little about Disney's behind the seens business management operations. I had heard that they had cut many of their business internship opportunities. I was wondering if there were still ways to intern within Disney because I would love the chance to next summer(perhaps a little longer) if it is available. I would like to move south (Florida) most likely after college, and I would love to know if/how Disney hires both interns and entry level accounting/management positions. If anyone has any information, it would help a lot. Thank You.

Most of the Professional Internships require that you have participated in the Disney College Program, just because they want people that are very familiar with WDW.

Their professional internships include Animal Programs/Epcot Science, Art and Graphics, Communication, Education, Engineering, Entertainment (Costuming, Management and Production), Events, Finance, Horticulture, Human Resources, Information Technology, Labor Operations, Management (Catering, Culinary, Food & Beverage, Operations, Recreation, Retail, Rooms, etc.), Merchandise, Operations, Guest Relations, Sales, Marketing, and Sports and Recreation.

Much more information here: http://disney.go.com/disneycareers/internships/disney_world_resort.html

Good luck!

Actually, being an accountant you are lucky because they are one of the few professional internships that doesn't require a CP program to apply. You'd still be going up against lots of CP's and whatnot, but I have a friend who graduated from the University of Illinois in Accounting and got one of the spots without a CP Program. Not sure what they're hiring for now, but you can look at disneyinterns.com. As always, it's just better to be in the Disney system because they post a lot of internal opportunities that can be difficult to find for people outside the company.
