Disney Institute

Ok - I'm all excited bc I've been put in charge of scouting prices for a huge group of my friends and their kids. But sadly, I can't find the Disney Institute Treehouses listed on disneyworld.com to try to get a quote. Are they closed?

We drove past them this past weekend and there were NO cars in front of them. I though they were demolishing them to makeway for more VacationClub property

yeah ..... they've been closed for a while I think.....try something the the new beach club villas or the ones at the boardwalk...

The entire Disney Institute Resort is CLOSED.

The only things that remain open are the fitness center, spa, and golf course.

How did Disney expect such a Radical idea to stay long term anyway. Unless you actually could sign up for classes and attend like college and get a degree. This was just a novelity idea in my opinion. A very expensive one. I wonder if they made enough of it to justify building the areas in the first place?

Our last visit to WDW in Oct 01, we did alot of the Disney tours, and a few from some other parks (Discovery Cove, Sea World, Universal).

We enjoyed the behind the sceens stuff and doing the "Trainer for a Day" type stuff.

We liked it so much, I want ed to devote more of our next vacation to doing ohter stuff. I was so sad when we got back and I looked up DI and found them to be closed.

I would have loved to do some of there courses like anamation, photography, and rock climbing.
