I wonderif this new resort will kill the ideas for the new DVC resort over by the Eagle Pines golf course. I don't think they would have two DVC resorts opening in 2004. I think this is an easy way for Disney to make a new DC resort so they an save money. The propert i already developed and requires little or no groundbreaking. Don't be surprised if you never see the Eagle Pines resort.

This is true, but are they really going to demolish part of the DI?
Walt Disney World plans to demolish about one-fourth of its troubled Disney Institute resort and build 192 new time-share units there.

I've always thought the Institute was a bad idea...it's extremely unpopular, so I'm sure disney is eager to close at least some of it...

True. The Institue should be not inside Disney World, but somewhere else like Disney Quest in Chicago or Disney's Vero Beach. It would be much popular in other region not near to Disney World itself. The Institute provides hundreds of chores and recreational activities, but when you are near to the Disney parks it's not logical to stay all day in your resort.

When I was at the Disney Institute in 1997 I liked it alot, but then I went to WDW again in 2002 and stayed at the Wilderness Lodge and I like The Wilderness Lodge better. But that's sad that the Disney Institute is being closed, they had nice rooms :D
