Disney Imagineering Help!

Hello,

I'm currently a film student in Philadelphia and I've always loved Walt Disney World (surprise, surprise) and have been an avid fan of production within the theme parks for many years now.

I've been searching all over the internet for a way to contact the Disney Imagineering department to somehow be able to talk with someone about the different jobs and opportunities available in their company, but I've so far had no such luck with the HR department. I'm guessing they are trying to limit the incoming calls due to volume, but I'm trying to do anything and everything in my power to make sure I can discuss some key points with someone at that works in the creative production department at Disney.

I know this board is generally for theme park enthusiasts and regular visitors to the parks so I figured I would keep my fingers crossed and find someone! If anyone does have info, please message me or post on this forum! It would be much appreciated.

My name is Kevin and if you have any information I would love for you to reach out!

Thank You!

Great to know you're a fellow Imagineer! I'm just a avid idea-maker, but I think I could help.

http://disneycareers.com could maybe help, along with just reading up on Wikipedia. I'm just a "little kid" (not really, but, you know what I mean. ;) ), so I'm not sure, but more people will post on this forum in no time. :) Best wishes!

Hey kevin,
I too want to be an Imagineer, so I can share some steps I've taken ( hopefully in teh right direction! )

First of all, I definitely check out Imaginations - It's an Imagineering Competition, not for the faint of heart lol.

The new batch of entries are coming in October, if I'm not mistaken. I've entered it before and didn't do as well as I had hoped but I want to try it again. You can message me and I can give you some more hints and "do's and don'ts".

Next, Disney Careers ( as posted earlier) is another site you want to check constantly. Check for the Professional Internships as well, which is the same site if I'm not mistaken.

And lastly, attend HENAAC which is a STEM ( Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) conference held at Disney. Disney shows up and you can personally enter your resume for engineering as well as other positions within the company.

Really hope that helps, and hope to call you a co-worker one day !
If you need more in depth message do not hesitate to message.
Good Luck.

I want to be an imagineer but I'm more of an artist than engineer. If you want to talk to an Imagineer, I know you could have lunch with one at the Brown Derby. I read stories about Imagineers and some say they worked their way up from the parks or from the college program. Good luck!
