Disney Humor

While browsing through the Disney Online website, I noticed this humorous description regarding the TTA:

Powered by a linear induction motor - whatever that is - it's mass transit straight out of science fiction.

I thought that it was a hilarious example of Disney web-designer's humor.

I think that especially the non-technical minded will get a kick out of it!

they are linear induction motors-there are 629 motors-each motor has a proximity sensor-there are 710 speed sensors. the motors are like giant magnets. each motor "pulls" the trains to the next. its an interesting ride to study. i love working on it!

The humor is that the official Disney web site would describe it as "Powered by a linear induction motor - whatever that is - it's mass transit straight out of science fiction. "

In other words, Disney mentions that it's powered by LIM, and instead of explaining what LIM is, just says "whatever that is".

I thought that was funny, when I first read it I didn't realize that Disney wrote "Whatever that is" I thought that was your comment.
