Disney Honeymoon....

Getting married!

Honeymoon will consist of a 2 week California visit.

Doing lots of "fun" stuff.....Both of us like Disney and Theme parks.

Will be staying in Anaheim (non-Disney) from Nov 6th to Nov 15 then we're heading up to San Fran.

Any tips, suggestions, or hints of when to hit Disneyland, Knotts, SeaWorld, SanDiego Zoo? We will be using a SoCal City Pass.

I'd like to reserve either Friday or Saturday the 11th or 12th for one of our Disneyland visits as the hours are 8am to midnight on those two days. In order to use our SoCal city pass, we must validate it with our first day being Disney, then once it's activated we're OK for other parks. So to do this do we have to go on Monday (first full day out there) to DL and then to the other places?

Also....things you suggest we hit.....and things you suggest we miss?

We're 35 yr olds with no children.

Thanks!

Have a nice romantic dinner waterfront at the Blue Bayou. Or if you can afford it, Napa Rose. Enjoy fireworks up in front of the castle for a really magical view. Hit as much as you can, two days is ample time to cover both parks.

Knotts is a good 1/2 day to 3/4 day park. A lot of it will be fenced up for Halloween construction, but the park's rides are still excellent, Ghostrider in particular. I enjoy a good fried chicken meal or boysenberry dessert. The ribs are great too.

SeaWorld will be practically empty as this is the off season, so enjoy a nice stroll around the park, enjoy the animal exhibits and shows. There really isn't anything special going on at the moment to my knowledge.

San Diego Zoo is the best zoo in the world. There is so much to see, so start early. A common highlight is the panda exhibit. If you get a chance, go to the San Diego Wild Animal Park as well, it is a totally different experience, not so much a zoo as an immersion into animal habitats.

Most of all, enjoy the trip!

Thanks a lot for the info! I'll look into the two restaurants. I want to plan as much as we can as we have a lot to see, yet we also want to "enjoy" things as a honeymoon!

Gotta figure out which days are best for each park, etc. Like everything else I do, I research the hell of of things!

Why would parts of Knott's be fenced up for "Halloween construction" in NOVEMBER??

Oh wow, I should read better. I thought they meant now. In November, actually some maze stuff is still up, but not as much. I stand corrected.

Thanks, I would think by the second week in November that the Halloween stuff would be done with, taken down and back to normal, or even set up for Christmas. In my area, the theme parks are only open until Halloween after which they close for the winter until April.

Problem is, we haven't even started to plan our stay at all. Just know we'll be in Anaheim for 10 days and San Fran for 4 days.

We apparently also have to start our So-Cal City Pass at Disneyland to activate, then we may go to the other parks in the package. So an early week visit to DL sounds mandatory (we get 3 Disney days in the SCCP).

We'll have to sit down and plan things out. With my luck, the fires will burn something down, or it'll rain all week or something. Never fails, SOMETHING always goes wrong.
