My family and I are considering going to WDW next year for the homeschooling days. Have any of you gone to this? I noticed that in years past there were more dates and now there is only one. I see more entries for Individual Enrollment but what is the difference between the two? Also, do they still give ticket discounts to the parents on the individual enrollment days?

Any info that you can pass my way would be appreciated. Mixing in fun and education is about the only sure way to get my wife to travel to WDW!!!

Hi @DisneyDad1977

We did the Individual Enrollment back in August. Individual Enrollment is for children who aren't a part of a bigger group, like a field trip. You can buy discounted tickets for you, your wife and child(ren), including hoppers. Eight days used to the maximum amount of days you can purchase. Only one parent can accompany the child to the class.

I was looking for dates the other night and I saw you can only buy 5 day tickets now. Is that what you are seeing? We purchased a 7 day hopper back in June.

Thanks for the info. That is what I saw as well. I guess we will have to "settle" for 5 days at WDW and hit UNI or Seaworld as well.

Ugh. That stinks. Maybe people were abusing the system? I guess they're cool with people spending money at rival parks. It seems short-sighted to me.

We did Ocean Discoveries. The facilitator was really good, but the age range was 7-11. I thought the kids who were towards the upper age range were a tiny bit bored.

We have done classes there, and went as part of a larger homeschool group, not on homeschool days, but at another time. Becausse we went as a group, theey even got us a better deal on rooms, and the classes were just our group. I have looked at the individual enrollment this year, and got quite aggravated with their system. Makes it hard for those of us from far away to enroll, when they won't release the dates until well after our wwindow of reservations. We had to book all our meals before dates were released, and already had reservations we'd have to cancel. Also, no rates for ap guests, so full tickets would have to be purchased. sigh.
Next year, we will hopefully travel with the Carolina homeschoolers again, to be sure to get the hotel discount and classes planned earlier.
