Ok the trip is planned, tickets purchased....and now I have Disney guilt! This is my 2nd trip this year and I'm feeling a little bit like I'm overdoing it! Not that we can't afford it, but of course the approx $3,000 I'll be spending could be well spent elsewhere. And of course I worry about job security, etc... We are not rich by any means but I keep thinking to myself "do it while you're young!" I know once I get there I'll feel wonderful, but do any of you have guilt/worry after planning a trip?

For me it’s not trips but buying luxury items like a CD player or speakers. I think it probably the way you and I were brought up. I could be wrong but both my parents came from a poor family and form them I learned the vale of a buck.

This will be our second trip this year - first one was during President's Week, now we are going during Thanksgiving Week. Guilt - naw. I don't splurge on anything else during the year. Haven't even bought myself new clothes since last year.

I just got back from my 4th trip this year!! There is no such thing as Disney Guilt!! Life is too short, take it from me, I lost both my father and father-in-law to ALS and that has taught me to live life to it's fullest each day!!! I would go a 5th time if I could this year!!! I am serious don't feel guilty, enjoy!!!:) :)

Do it while you're healthy enough to do it.
Do it while you can afford it.
There's no point wishing you could do it if you're not in good health, and,
you can't take the money with you when you die.

Go For It :king: (I know I would if I could)

I hope I am going it while I am young and old! I spend way too much on Disney too but hey why not. Everybody has hobbies: some have cars, we all just happen to have Disney!:sohappy:

i've always been able to limit my visit to once a year but by some miracle i get to go 3 times this year! woohoo.....i do know what you mean about the guilt though-dh says 3 vacations in one year is too much for anyone....but i try to use "guilt" as a reason to have the time of my life since there are so many others out there that would love to have the opportunity, so to not enjoy it to the best of my ability would be even worse....(i can usually justify anything)

so, i say, "live it up!"

its not like you are spending the $3,000 on drugs or evil doings. that much money is well worth the memories it will bring

Just remember that your $3000 is being spent on some very important things: your memories, your happiness, and your bonding with those you care about. We went 7 times last year, took a year off to fix up the house, and we're buying annual passes again for our next trip (Friday!). Our reservations are already made for December's trip, too, and I'm sure we'll make good use of our passes after that.

Just think of what you spend as an investment in your emotional well-being. There's no reason to feel guilty for doing something that makes you happy.
