Disney Flavor of the Day

Why does it seem like Disney fans are so opposed to whatever "flavor of the day" may be in the parks at any given time? Is it because they take over attractions where they may or may not fit (i.e., Stitch overtaking Alien Encounter, "Frozen" overtaking Maelstrom)? What gives?

Well in the case of Stitch it was because many of us loved Alien Encounter and thought it should not have been shut down to be replaced by Stitch. Stitch was inferior and replaced something much better.
Maelstrom wasnt a great ride but it did connect to and highlighted the country, the people and industry of its represented Norway. The objection for many is that Frozen does nothing to represent the Country of Norway... Arendelle is fictitious and the purpose of the World Showcase Pavilions is to have a real representation of the country and its people. Frozen could have been better placed elsewhere.
